He wouldn't fit here. He has too much heart, he would put our superstars to shame.

    Asik to Atlanta
    Lowry to Houston
    Teague to Toronto

    That would work for me!

Sure, but kind of a waste to have Lowry, Beverley and Lin, not to mention Brooks. If Lowry becomes a Rocket, I expect one of Beveley or Lin to go.

Need a solid defensive backup 4/5 if you trade Asik.

this. It already sucks that we can't get brooks more PT at the moment. having another PG without shipping one out would be complete overkill.

    I am thinking something like

Lin+DMo or 1st round pick for Lowry+Hayes, or

    would work.

Maybe throw in some other salary fillers and minor assets. Maybe get Patterson back also.

Seems to look like something Toronto is asking for: a couple of young talent/asset, Lin is expensive but taking back Hayes' contract would offset the money. They also don't have to make a long term commitment to Lin this summer. Seems to make more sense for Toronto's building timeline than either Teague or Lowry.

Moreover, Toronto gets to avoid totally upsetting their fans with intentionally throwing away the season. Lin has a decent chance of keeping that team competitive now and his popularity could keep fans interested (lots of Asian fans in Toronto).

Yeah, if the Raptors really are interested in Teague, then Lin actually makes sense there. He's a slightly better, (very) slightly younger and more popular player on a shorter contract. If it is actually possible for Lowry and McHale to coexist, then that would be a great trade.

Are we just going to act like Lowry never said he couldn't play for McHale anymore?

    I'm so confused.

Is it 3 the Harden way or 3 the Hardaway?

when you're a contender and both are mature adults (assuming they are) you put the BS aside to win.

Either one would make the team better.

If that's the case, why wasn't it put aside to begin with?

The only reason McHale and Lowry had problems was because he wanted starting minutes on a team. Now that Dragic isn't here, Lowry would certainly be inserted into the starting rotation, so I think the problems wouldn't persist.
