I'm always so damn tired and miss the episodes on tv. i end up watching on fox.com, so i hope it helps. The answer to the Olivia debate is
Pretty soon they'll be getting less than 4 million viewers. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fringe_episodes. I wonder how many are really watching since many watch Friday shows online instead of live tv.
Damnit FOX!!! This show just keeps getting better and better. 2 of the last 3 episodes, I remember feeling that 'Holy S*&T' moment at the end each time. They either need to move this show back to Tuesdays where is belongs, or put it on Sunday where X-Files used to be. Something, just DON'T KILL THIS SHOW!!!
I guess I am to blame I watch it on HULU more than on TV I wonder if they count that? If so . . how is it tabulated. hulu has to be more accurate than . . neilsens I would think. Rocket River
they have already dipped below 4 million a few weeks ago I think it is actually a good sign that its viewership only dropped about 1 million after the switch from Thursday to Friday
Let's hope you're right. Btw..... Spoiler baby mama drama ......really? Seems like they added this to boost ratings and get a larger target audience or keep their numbers from bleeding on.
Nothing final, but to me this sounds like the show is toast: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...Twitter&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter
Interesting way of reasoning. I like Lie To Me but will miss Human Target and Fringe if they are chopped. Fringe has lost some tread off the tires and I'm not surprised. The simplicity and characters of Human Target made it one of my favorite shows. Not to rag on Fox, but it seems like they cut shows that I like more often than the other networks.
Because they don't understand that Science Fiction television is never going to pull in 20 Million viewers. It has a loyal fanbase, but it's a small percentage of us.
I think Fringe would have been just fine if they'd have left it on Tuesdays, it was doing solid numbers there.
SyFy would do well to swoop in and try to grab these shows They did kind of MisManaged the SGU as well. Rocket River
Dollhouse was another one. Whenever I saw ads, Fox focused on how provocative Eliza Dushku looked in various outfits. That was NOT why the show was compelling. The whole concept of the plot was incredible to me. They completely blew it on marketing IMO. Maybe the show was doomed to fail anyway, but it didn't have a chance. GRENDAL, agree with you on Fringe's schedule. RR, don't know if it's because I know it will be canceled, but I liked the latest episode of SGU more than normal.
I think the problem with Sci Fi is the need for SETUP. On a Cop Show, Med Show or Law show. . . you know the rules In Sci fi . . they need to lay alot of background and rules etc By time they get there. . . . the audience could be lost SGU kind of should have had a good amount of rules and background from the other SGs but .. .they changed alot of the rules and had to reestablish some. . . . They finally getting back to story . . . and it is too late Rocket River
I've been watching Fringe and this last episode was just awful. The whole romance-between-Peter-and-Olivia story is just ridiculously soap opera. (Coming soon: one, or the other, or both Olivias will be pregnant with Peter's baby. Oh - and Peter's dad will hook up with that redhead lady from Massive Dynamic. PREDICTABLE. SOAP OPERA.) ... and the sci-fi storyline has gotten equally as stupid. Take this last episode, where a doctor was injecting wheelchair-constrained people with anti-gravity fluid to make them float. As if the only thing keeping in the wheelchair was gravity! Oh look! Now that they have the anti-gravity serum, they can move their legs! Wow! OR is it more stupid that the spirit of William Bell has magically possessed Olivia simply by Dr. Bishop ringing a bell. Really, I can't figure out which part of this show was the most stupid. I'm just about done with it.
