I remember reading somewhere that the reason the show was slow to pick up in beginning was because Fox Execs didn't want the show to go into a heavy mythology show like Lost. They felt that it would be hard to drop new fans into the show if there was too much going on. The writers wanted a heavy Mythology show not a creature of the week like Fox wanted. So the writers compromised, we get a creature of the week show while delving deeper into the mythology of Fringe. Can't understand why this show doesn't get better ratings.
Right now, this is the only show that I want to watch enough to rearrange my schedule around. Best show on TV by far.
Probably one of my Favorite shows out there. It is like the 1st seasons of X-Files before it got wack Rocket River
It was doing just fine in it's original time slot, wasn't till they moved it to Thursday that the ratings started to suffer, it was a dumb move by Fox.
networks loving moving popular shows to Thursdays to compete with other heavy hitters the ratings for this show is atrocious, it's below 5 million now
Seriously. I never understood these types of moves. If you winning on TUESDAY at 8 . . why mess it up by moving it then LOSING BADLY ON Thursday at 8???? I know such moves have KILLED alot of shows. [I think XFiles moved from Fridays (when geeks are home and everyone else is out partying *grin*) to Sundays (when all the people are usually home watching tv) ] If I am winning mondays . .. i will just keep winning and just try something else on Thursdays. I wonder how it is doing on the DVRs and Hulu MAN: I wanna Watch Fringe Woman: But Grey's is on Man: I don't care .. FRINGE Is ON!! Woman: You will care LATER MAN: mumblemumblemumble . . . <Thinking> I hope the DVR is set!!!! Rocket River

I agree, its esp. disappointing when shows like Fringe are getting better in terms of content but losing viewers like crazy. I think this show would have been in great shape had they just left it in it's original timeslot.
Anyone catch last night's episode? Spoiler Surprised that Peter finds out about Olivia relatively early in the season. I thought writers would milk the alternate universe for a while. Like I said, before the alternate universe Fringe division grew on me, especially good seeing Charlie back. Either way, gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. I think that the alternate olivia (shall we call her Altivia?) will end up sacraficing herself to get the real olivia back home. Altivia will find out about Walternate's plans of destruction.
Yep, I saw it. I thought it was decently timing, no need to drag it out for the entire season. Spoiler What is funny is that that Altivia is actually Peter's Olivia, if he'd never been brought over, hence their instant attraction and his comfort level with her, will be interesting to see how it plays out now that he knows.
I thought they made it clear Olivia was going to find her way back by the 8th episode. I thought the Internets agreed on Fauxlivia. Ana Trov's acting is pretty great The rating for Fringe is really going down the crapper when the show has picked up tremendously from season 1. Fox meddling again is probably going to cause another great show to get canceled. Angel Buffy Dollhouse Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles Firefly Arrested Development. What am I missing?
The number' station episode was bad, the last one was better. Hate it they make us wait for two weeks. Anyone saw the Observer a couple of episodes back?
Well if there is a death knell on Fox it's been getting moved to Friday nites...... http://www.tvguide.com/News/American-Idol-Wednesday-Thursday-1025852.aspx American Idol Moving to Wednesdays and Thursdays; Fringe Headed to Fridays Nov 19, 2010 08:34 PM ET by Kate Stanhope. American Idol, Fringe American Idol will move to Wednesdays and Thursdays next year as part of a major schedule revamp, Fox announced Friday. Idol, previously on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, will kick off its tenth season with two-hour season premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 19 and Thursday, Jan. 20. The move allows Fox to leave ratings powerhouse Glee in its same Tuesdays-at-8/7c timeslot through the new year. The new schedule also appears to renege Fox's announcement last May that the Idol results show would be cut from an hour to 30 minutes. As for new series, Fox will replace Will Arnett comedy Running Wilde with the relationship comedy Mixed Signals starting Tuesday, Feb. 8. (Running Wilde's one-hour winter finale will air on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 9/8c, according to The Futon Critic.) Shawn Ryan-created cop drama The Chicago Code will premiere Monday, Feb 7 at 9/8, as previously announced. And Breaking In, a comedy starrring Christian Slater, will debut on Wednesday, April 6, immediately following 90-minute episodes of Idol. Fox orders Christian Slater comedy for midseason Animated series, Bob's Burgers, will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 8:30/7:30c, moving The Cleveland Show to 9:30/8:30c. American Dad, the lowest-rated show in Sunday's Animation Domination lineup, will move to 7:30/6:30c the following week. During the month of January, Fox will replace both Raising Hope and Running Wilde on Tuesdays with the new game show Million Dollar Money Drop. Here is the Fox's full midseason prime-time schedule breakdown: Monday 8-9 p.m. — House 9-10 p.m. — Lie to Me 9-10 p.m. — The Chicago Code (beginning Feb. 7) Tuesday 8-9 p.m. — Glee 9-10 p.m. — Million Dollar Money Drop (starting Jan. 4) 9-9:30 p.m. — Raising Hope 9:30-10 p.m. — Mixed Signals (beginning Feb. 8) Wednesday 8-9 p.m. — American Idol (beginning Jan. 26) 9-10 p.m. — Human Target (from Jan. 26-Feb. 16) 9:30-10 p.m. — Breaking In (starting April 6) Thursday 8-9 p.m. — Million Dollar Money Drop (beginning Jan. 6) 8-9 p.m. — American Idol (starting Jan. 20) 9-10 p.m. — Bones Friday 8-9 p.m. — Kitchen Nightmares (beginning Jan. 21) 9-10 p.m. — Fringe (starting Jan. 28) Saturday 8-8:30 p.m. — Cops 8:30-9 p.m. — Cops 9-10 p.m. — America's Most Wanted Sunday 7-7:30 p.m. — The Simpsons (repeats) 7:30-8 p.m. — American Dad (starting Jan. 16) 8-8:30 p.m. — The Simpsons 8:30-9 p.m. — Bob's Burgers (starting Jan. 9) 9-9:30 p.m. — Family Guy 9:30-10 p.m. — The Cleveland Show
Damn Fox is stupid. They should pair Fringe with Human Target. If Fringe gets canceled That would really suck. Fringe and SGU are the only scifi shows left on television.
At the beginning of that episode. . . i thought they all switched bodies Which would have been more interesting Rocket River
This is Change I can beleive in. Those are two of my favorite shows. Lie to Me is my other Fox show. Rocket River
