I love this show, last night's episode was great, I'm glad to hear there will be new ones for the next 7 weeks
I like how foreshadowings from season 1 and early season 2 are drawn together in the last episode -- shows you that the writers do have a plan in mind from the beginning, which is great. Some of the shows out there just make up things as they go.
Read this weekend they've been renewed for another season but they should move it from Thrusday unless Fox wants to just kill it.
i would watch fringe at the 2nd hour slot on thursday over any other show, i dunno about the ratings, but i certainly feel that it's good enough to be a thursday show
Lost is on Tuesdays now (I believe it was on Thursdays las year). I think they have a similar fan base, so if it stayed on Tuesdays, a lot of fans would tune into Lost, not Fringe.
Actually Grendel it's getting better ratings following Bones on Thursdays than it ever did in last seasons time slot. So I don't know where you got your info. This past week's episode was down, but then all of the ratings were down this past week. Personally, I was behind, but watched the new episode this week... so now I am trying to catch up. Just finished August and I'm working on Snakehead right now. If you follow the @maskedscheduler on twitter (he's in charge of Fox scheduling) he said that the network is very pleased with their Thursday night line up. Edit: after checking.. you're right.. there were more live viewers in the Tuesday night slot. But like I said, last I heard the network was very happy with it's Thursday night lineup.
http://www.thrfeed.com/2010/04/thur...feed+(The+Hollywood+Reporter+-+The+Live+Feed) and the season 2 premiere had had fairly bad numbers http://www.airlockalpha.com/node/6709 they may have gone up during the season but it's not something I track on a regular basis.
i really hate how american idol halts the airing of fringe for 6 weeks at a time... it throws everyones schedule off and if you're a casual follower of the show, you wouldn't even know when its coming back on good thing hulu.com/fringe page had a notice saying "fringe will return in april" one insignificant plot hole is that earlier in season1 walter says "it was always billy and i's dream to start a company together, i guess he couldn't wait any longer" referring to the stent he was locked up and william bell started his company; but the recent episode suggests that bell started the company before walter was locked up... anyway, stupid and pointless, but just odd in my opinion, its only the 2nd season and they can't polish their edges
No you were right.. the viewership live numbers were higher last season... but this season because of the more competitive spot Fox is doing better with Fringe on Thursdays than anything else they have had in that slot. It's likely there to stay. If you ever want to check numbers this is my favorite spot... http://pifeedback.com/eve/forums Also I agree with you RE... I hate the freaking month long hiatus that Bones is forced on because of that stupid AI as well.
For an episode that didn't deal with the core storyline of the show - none of "The Observers" and no William Bell or transdimensional war - tonight's episode was damn good. Sort of along the lines of the TOS Star Trek episode "The City on the Edge of Forever".
Fringe is an excellent show, but could they have picked anyone worse to play agent Dunham?? Seriously, she kills half the episodes for me with her insanely annoying facial expressions....
She is a very bland actress for me. I am watching IN PLAIN SIGHT. The Main Actress in this show would be a nice Upgrade. Rocket River
Olivia is growing on me, I did not like her at first, but she has gotten better imo. This is my favorite tv drama that isn't Lost
great episode last night...i'm about 5 or 6 behind, but was able to watch w/o worrying about watching out of sequence...
Solid episode. I just wish they would tone down the REID RICHARDS Act of Dr Bishop. While I will gather he is smart but he seems to be the smartest person to every live! Rocket River
