I haven't eaten fried chicken from any of those places in many years, and it's probably been at least 15 years since I've had Church's. I voted for Church's because back when I had it, it was my favorite. KFC would be second, and popeye's last. Maybe things have changed.
it's a pressure fryer that locks the steam in and makes the chicken more tender/juicy. there still be oil (or lard is it?) in there to fry in.
I had Church's for the first time in over a decade. I was so disappointed. Why didn't you make this thread earlier in the week, so that my expectations would have been tampered?
Whenever I eat fried chicken from one of those places, I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. I don't mean some day; I mean right there on the spot. But I do love fried chicken made by real cooks.
Funny how the poll results could reflect the prices for each place. Popeyes is ****ing expensive (Fried Chicken wise)
I almost never eat fried chicken, at least in that sense. I do eat crispy chicken sandwiches and nuggets, which are fried. I voted Popeyes, but I can't actually remember what the chicken tastes like. All I know for sure is both have awesome sides.
Popeye's has better fried chicken than most non fast food establishments that sell fried chicken. And it's about a million times better than KFC. That said, I feel like crap after eating at Popeye's. But, it's worth it. Mmmmmm, Popeye's. Their red beans and rice and biscuits are pretty awesome too.
