Julie was in the same English class as Saracen and Landry which would imply they were in the same grade.

Was she? I don't remember this.

Actually I do vaguely recall her mentioning some test at the lunch table...?

BTW that creepy English teacher that tried to put the moves on Julie was douchebaggery personified.

Great news! Crossing my fingers hoping this would go through. 2 more seasons of FNL would be incredible.

I just finished watching Season 1 on Netflix. Good stuff and it does have the emotional hook of reminding me of my high school days... except as always, the linemen get short shrift. No way your captains are the RB, FB, and QB. You've got to have a defensive player on there. You've got to have a lineman or linebacker who is prominent. (And no way are your three captains all non-seniors.)

Smash is totally unbelievable as a go-to, highly recruited, stud RB, even though I like his character and the plot lines surrounding him.

I also didn't like the way the games kept coming down to the last second. If you're good enough to compete for a state championship, there are some games where you're going to be blowing people out. (And how was VooDoo eligible for the other team when he hadn't established residency in Dillon earlier in the season?)

The coach is really good, as is his wife. Buddy is a fun character but seems a bit of a caricature.

Anyway, overall it's a good show and I'll start season 2 tonight.
