I have a pair of shoes. They are my favorite pair of shoes. I was getting up to go to work on a Friday morning. I have clothes packed because I am going to hang out with a friend after work. I bring my favorite shoes with me. After work, I get in my car and drive to her house in Montrose from my office (Memorial City Mall area). I change and I can't find my shoes. I have another pair in the car so I put them on and figure I just must have forgotten the others at home. We're driving through Montrose and a bum knocks on my window and tells me I have a shoe on my car. I look up and there is one of my favorite shoes. So I think "damn, I must have put them on top of my car when I got out at her house." We were about two blocks away from her house, so we go back to look for the shoe. No where. I drove around those blocks for half an hour. I am bummed at this point. We end up going to a bar that night and she loses her wallet there! There was no way we were going to find this wallet in the crowded bar. To make a long story short, somehow we ended up finding it. I literally thought there was no chance. She kept on saying "what is lost is found" over and over. Then she found it. Anyways. Next Thursday morning I am driving to work and I am driving down Memorial by my parents house (Mem & Hwy 6) and I somehow see my shoe laying on the side of the road. I pull over and sprint to it. It had been laying on the side of Memorial for 6 days and no one picked it up. It was still in great shape. The most amazing part is that the other shoe that the bum saw on top of the car had been riding from my house to work to Montrose on I-10 the whole time. until that bum tapped my window. I texted her "What is lost is found" on the way to work.
Uh, she just kept saying what is lost is found... she sounds a little coo-coo, but it's cool you were reunited with your <s>best friend</s> shoe.
did you tell her that she was jelafied? is she prole? how jelafiable was it when you found the shoe? was the bum who knocked on your window prole or not? those are some questions that you neglected to answer during the story..
amazing story, glad to know you found your shoe. pretty awesome it had sat there for 6 days untouched and in great shape, that's pretty epic
it's summer, people suppose to... err... find their shoes after six days. Hispanic? Sorry, I got nothin.
You know what would have made this story even better? If you found the wallet IN your other shoe! And then the bum is holding a sign that says, "What is lost is found...." That would've been prolified!!!
