I did know that. My post was sarcastic. I was trying to point out to gary that what he was talking about and what is being proposed are two different things.

 

So what is their rationale for banning turbans? I hardly think one could characterize that as oppressive. Will they make Sikhs cut their hair next?

 

I feel bad to admit it but I think the better thing might be what I am always mad at our congress of doing. Passing a resolution saying it is an oppressive garmet or something.

 

i think it's sweet how you guys defend the rights of muslim men oppressing their women in a secular country.

I think the burka issue should be decided on a case-by-case basis before a designated panel of men. Should the panel deem the female in question as average to ugly looking, burka shall be granted. If the chick is hot, burka denied...

 

i'm hardly beating a drum here, please don't insult me. i know exactly what i'm talking about. i'm glad to have a conversation in the "gray" area that exists but has yet to be acknowledged by anyone, save perhaps rhad.

 

Great idea, and the men should all have consumed at least 3 to 4 beverages to have proper beer gogglage going.

Well I dunno about the alcohol stipulation, but I wouldn't be against plastic surgery requests by the panel in order to bring the average looking applicants up into the no-burka-granted percentile

 

There would need to be pre- surgery examinations by the panel for discussion about where to best implement the surgery.

i don't know the motivations for each and every woman to wear what they wear. i'm for leaving the government out of it, though.

 

and to think, our lord and savior obama wants to emulate these people. just say no to european stupidity please.
