The root of all problems: religion.

    Pot, meet the kettle...

I never said it did, but in the same way, being gay or on the side of homosexual gay agenda also doesn't give one a free pass to be intolerant towards others because of their beliefs, even if they are different or against the gay agenda.

Nowhere in my statement did I say that it was acceptable to be hateful or selfish. Jesus preached 'To do unto others as you'd want them to do to you...', 'Love your neighbour & enemies' as well as 'using righteous judgement' & I try my best to live by that standard.

The only delusional individuals that I see here are the one's that bully others into accepting their opinions, with no tolerance for other peoples opinions. Just agree to disagree & get on with life.

Just because someone was raised to believe, or just feels that homosexuality is icky doesn't make them a bigot or intolerant...it just means that they have a different opinion to the folks supporting the gay agenda.

Not everyone is going to wave a rainbow flag from the highest building while singing 'It's raining men!' In support of homosexuality...& it's not just the religious folk that disagree with y'all.

Already happened via Joe Smith & Mohummad...

Your credibility is thrown out the window when you blatantly straw man your argument. If you honestly think that singing "it's raining men" and participating in over flamboyant gay pride parades is what is required for a liberal to consider someone tolerant of homosexuals than honestly... go **** yourself because you are a lost cause.

How about just starting with not associating homosexuality with pedophilia or bestiality or not sharing your believes of how "icky" homosexuality is through legislation. We can give two ****s how icky you thing homosexuality is.

    Exactly my point...

My views don't agree with yours, so "BAM!" out comes the bully boy routine. Your points are all invalid. No where in my post did I associate homosexuality with pediphillia or bestiality.

GLAAD wants Phil to be re-educated and meet with homosexual families. “We believe the next step is to use this as an opportunity for Phil to sit down with gay families in Louisiana and learn about their lives and the values they share,” GLAAD’s vice president of communications Rich Ferraro told The Wrap.

So OK, I was being overly dramatic with the flag waving and singing...but if you don't nod your head in the Sienfield style, repeating the mantra 'not that there's anything wrong with that' or 'it's ok to be gay' the gay agenda believes that y'all need reprogramming...that's my point.

Where is the freedom in that?

My point was that everyone has a right to believe in what they want to believe in, and the freedom of speech, freedom of expression as well as freedom of religion...that's what you fought for, wasn't it?

Openly gay feminist Camille Paglia nailed it when she stated,
Imagine the backlash that would have ensued if a major T.V. Network had suspended a television personality over pro-gay comments?

It’s seems political correctness only protects the free speech rights of certain groups of people while discriminating against others.

Like I said, 'I don't hate homosexuals, Muslims, Mormons or Christians...' To each their own: just grow a pair, learn to agree to disagree, get over it & get on with life...it's to short to waste time being bitter.

I hate what Christianity has become in many churches...

Christians are called to be Christ like in every way, everyday. Of course that would be an impossible standard to uphold, but if you are not at least striving towards that goal, then your 'Christianity' & 'religion' is a waste of time.

    EDIT:

    Totally off track...

    The question was:
    Which I replied:
...but that's a whole other thread right there.

Love you all, stay safe & goodnight. (2:05am Down Under)

Nobody has taken his free speech or his right to religion. He hasn't been jailed or otherwise censored by the government. A private business decided that his comments were distasteful enough to warrant suspension. That is their right.

    You say this...

    And then you say this...

So why do you have a problem with GLAAD believing what they do? Do they not have that right too? Or should they not express their beliefs?

You don't seem to get the basic concepts here. Duck Dynasty dude has a right to believe and say what he wants. You have a right to believe and say what you want. GLAAD has a right to believe and say what they want.

So the question is why you seem to have a problem with only one of those expressing themselves?

I disagree. The root of all problems is human nature.

But that is not what happened. What did happen was a major TV network suspended someone for making statements that were offensive to both gays and African Americans. And... crude comments (the comments about vaginas and anuses) that should offend all people.

The 'what if" quoted above isn't correct. Here is a more accurate "what if"...

What if a major TV network suspended a television personality over anti heterosexual comments. Something like this: "I think heterosexuality leads to bestiality, raping kids, and murder. And I just can't see why anyone would want to stick their penis into a vagina." And in the same interview, said: "I was in Germany during the 30's and 40's. I saw all sorts of Jewish people. They lived happy lives. They should have been happy the Nazis offered them access to showers."

Would you have been just as supportive of the TV personality's right to "free speech" (and again... free speech has never been a real issue here). Would you have protested the TV network for suspended them?

Perhaps it would be helpful to get your understanding of the so-called "gay agenda". My belief is that gay people want to be treated like everyone else.

After all, isn't that what Jesus preached?

To have the same rights and responsibilities under the constitution and laws. Simple things like equal access to jobs, housing, insurance benefits, probate. And yes, marriage and adoption.

Do your beliefs agree with this "agenda."

    and not everyone does.

as long as you keep resulting to sophomoric jokes like this, your opinions and arguments result in making you look like an 8th grade schoolyard bully.

you do not look to have compassion, you do not look to have empathy, you do not look to have acceptance of any kind towards homosexuals.

you might say that you love them as neighbor, yet you can't get through a thread about the topic of homosexuality without posting the same lame ass memes or jokes about gays.

Get it through your head: Your particular "opinion" in this case for another human being is unacceptable regardless of who or what taught it to you.

Am I "bullying" you if I'm trying to tell you 1+1 is 2 while you believe it should be 3?
