I went there two weeks ago and again yesterday and I have come to the conclusion that Freebird's has the greatest burrito across the land. It is nearly twice as good as Chipotle and that is a huge compliment coming from me because i am an avid fan of chipotle. Eating a freebird's burrito and a chipotle burrito is like eating a burger from becks prime and one from mcdonalds. Yesterday i engulfed the largest burrito freebirds has to offer, the $13 super monster. If you look at your keyboard and discard the number pad, that is the actual size of the burrito. They take two tortillas and make one giant burrito. They have burritos in 2 other sizes also which include the freebird($5) and the monster($7). All of their burritos are perfectly wrapped and dont have any of that annoying leakage! Their queso is just amazing but i rarely have room to eat my chips and queso because im so full especially after eating that super monster which damn near killed me. The queso is mixed together with beans making it a savory special treat. Another great thing about this place is their business cards, for every 10 ppl who order an item using the card, you receive a free Freebirds T-shirt. So if you have 10 people in your party you will receive 10 stamps on your card which makes you eligible for the free shirt. Anybody else eat at freebirds burrito before and want to share their experiences. If you haven't ate here you really are missing out, especially if you are a fan of chipotle or burritos. P.S. Dont order the super monster unless you are on an empty stomach, it meets up to the hype.
I am interested in how you made this measurement. Are you sure is isn't exactly or slightly more than twice as good?
California Burrito from Taqueria Arandas is way better, and cheaper than freebirds..Chipolte is disgusting, Freebirds its pretty good.
I like both but I give the edge to Freebird's. Chipotle's steamed rice makes it interesting but also makes it a little bland at times.
both are very good its hard to say which is better if chipotle had queso it would be the clear winner but you can't really beat the freebirds price to burrito size ratio
I have been eating at Freebird's for about a decade. I have always loved the steak burrito with the bad a$$ BBQ sauce. Yummy.
We have Chipotle, Freebird's, and Qdoba on one street. And I have to say, Qdoba beats Chipotle and Freebird's hands down. Too bad that they don't have a location in Houston.
Open your eyes. When did you come to Houston, yesterday? I went to Mission Burritos once and I was less than impressed. It'll be a while before I try it again. I give it to freebirds, but I love eating a barbacoa burrito at chipotle.
Freebirds is good....but haven't had it in awhile. Mission Burrito wasn't that impressive...pretty bland. So I guess I have horrible taste in food because I actually love Chipotle...but then again I guess it's what you put on it too...I go w/ the chicken and throw some pico and hot sauce on it as well as lettuce, rice and cheese...very satisfying.
The only time I tried Freebirds I got one of the, if not the, most disgusting burritos I've had in my life. I couldn't even finish it. Overall I like Mission better than Chipotle, but go to Chipotle a lot more simply because of the locations.
