Airbnb has a review system for both guests and hosts. A host doesn't have to agree to house a guest with shady reviews or no reviews at all. That is one of the best things about the site for everyone.
I love Uber, when out partying in Boston it was always a huge b**** to get home once all the bars/clubs closed at 2 and everybody was trying to find a cab. I've also met some really nice drivers that I could rely on whenever I need a ride. Prices are slightly more expensive than a cab but it's worth the money because of the convenience and reliability.
