Houston trades: PG Tito Maddox (2.5 ppg, 0.5 rpg, 0.0 apg in 4.0 minutes) PF Maurice Taylor (7.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 17.9 minutes) SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.1 minutes) Houston receives: PG Bimbo Coles (5.6 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 27.2 minutes) SF Darius Miles (12.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 3.1 apg in 37.8 minutes) PF Tyrone Hill (9.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1.3 apg in 33.3 minutes) Change in team outlook: -0.2 ppg, +12.5 rpg, and +3.5 apg. Cleveland trades: PG Bimbo Coles (5.6 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 27.2 minutes) SF Darius Miles (12.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 3.1 apg in 37.8 minutes) PF Tyrone Hill (9.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 1.3 apg in 33.3 minutes) Cleveland receives: PG Tito Maddox (2.5 ppg, 0.5 rpg, 0.0 apg in 2 games) PF Maurice Taylor (7.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 11 games) SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.0 apg in 10 games) Change in team outlook: +0.2 ppg, -12.5 rpg, and -3.5 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to Houston and Cleveland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Cleveland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. ____________________________________________________ If this is homeresque I can't telll because, well, I'm a homer Cleveland would get some much needed scoring from the frontcourt and backcourt and having Mobley would afford them to be patient with Lebron James should they get him. Houston would get a banger whose 24 mil would come off the books after this season. Miles has potentiol to be a greaat on the ball defender something we need and Bimbo is solid.
Does Steve have a trade restriction or something? Cat and Moochie for Brand and Miller works at realgm.com, but Steve, KT, and Collier for Brand and Miller, which have salaries that more closely match, doesn't work...
Houston trades: SF Glen Rice (9.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.1 apg in 27.3 minutes) PF Maurice Taylor (7.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.9 apg in 17.9 minutes) SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.1 minutes) PF Eddie Griffin (8.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 25.9 minutes) Houston receives: PF Rasheed Wallace (17.9 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.3 apg in 35.7 minutes) SG Derek Anderson (13.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 4.1 apg in 30.9 minutes) TRADE ACCEPTED
Houston trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.1 minutes) Houston receives: PF Elton Brand (17.6 ppg, 11.8 rpg, 2.6 apg in 39.8 minutes) TRADE ACCEPTED
Ya'll are on the right track. What we need on the team is a physical power forward with a strong defensive mindset, hopefully one with at least an adequate offensive enough game so you can't ignore him. If KT had the attitude of Najera or Malik Rose "whatever points comes my way is candy, my priorities are to play hard defense, rebound and protect my teammates" he would be my guy, but he just doesn't seem willing to do this role. It is to bad, because KT could be one of those guys except with more talent and game (sort of between a young Oakley and Mason the Knicks had). Obviously Brand would be a phenomenal pick-up. Ideally I would like to pull the trade off w/o Mobley. I might even part with KT + EG + Boki for him as the meat of the trade--that is a lot of talent to offer and both teams would benefit IMO. Obviously Ben Wallace is another, but not even worth discussing from Detriot's perspective. Some of the other guys on my B list. Theo Ratliff--obviously not the player he once was, but still a good shot blocker, rebounder and team player. Would Atl take Cato and KT? Maybe. Cato is 3 years younger, less injured (not saying much) and has more of a real centers girth. KT gives them needed bench depth at both forward spots. Swift--not sure about this one or who I would offer (EG?) but thought I would throw it out there. Brian Grant--has to be bad contract for bad contract--which means Mo or Cato as the principal. Something with Cato (plus Moochi) might work, as Miami needs a true center. Grant is no spring chicken, but he can play back-up C and brings muscle with some level of skill. On second thought that would not really help our glut at PF--so maybe it needs to be Mo and Cato for Grant and some salary fodder (Carter, Ellis) we keep on the bench 1 year then cut him loose. Am I missing guys. Remember we should be looking for a defensive oriented, preferrably physical, attitude bringing, team first PF (or at least have many of the above qualities) who offensively need only to not suck. An enforcer (to pretect Francis and Ming) with a decent game. It is too bad none of our current stable of decent PFs seems suited for this role, but this seems to be the case. As it is we have three PFs, none of which are happy, who are not really helping our more talented players develop nor playing close to all-defensive team quality 4 play.
Franchise for J Kidd! Hey its a free trade zone so . Besides I'm sure it won't be long before Francis has a bad game and some starts a thread with this proposal.
