oh my GOD i'm so happy i didn't buy a ticket. and what's with built to spill so far down the page? in my eyes doug martsch is by far the biggest "get" they got. if MM was known for being good live it'd be one thing...
i actually think that's a pretty strong lineup - deadmu5, MM, the national are big gets, although it is a little light on the headliner side. but built to spill, edward sharp, leon bridges, jamie xx, big grams, violent femmes, big gigantic, mac demarco, thee oh sees, white denim and trampled by turtles are all real solid. thee oh sees put on one of the best shows i've ever seen... sxsw 2011 i think. probably won't spend $150 tho...
Same boat here, I have been a Modest Mouse fan for a long time. I wouldn't mind seeing some other people but nobody else jumps out like that. Whoever decides to make an outdoor music festival in Houston in June is not my friend.
Edward Sharpe are good for about 10 minutes then they become repetitive live. LOL @ Matt & Kim being above BtS. Don't they sing the same song 12 times on all of their albums? Borns reminds me of hating Nissan's. SHUT UP! I know the lead singer in The Black Angels and I won't even go see them live. Syd Barrett couldn't even make that "sound' good, so just stop. Violent Femmes just need to stop, they're at every damn festival and they still suck, plus you're pawpaws to this crowd. The National are just going to cause contagious yawning throughout the crowd. Boring, repetitive music. Built to Spill I've seen 20s of times but always a fan, just not outside, in June, in Houston around the unclean. This is honestly one of the worst lineups for a festival I've ever seen. ****ing millennials just ruin everything.
That's how I feel about all the festivals in Texas. And I've seen Built to Spill here in Houston at least 4 times. You're buying the beers next time.
**** you. The Nash is dope as ****. But yeah I wouldn't go stand around in swamp weather with smelly hipsters.
That would be awesome. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know they were reuniting. Their website says tour dates for 2016 coming soon!
The National are the Shizzz. Anybody that thinks otherwise is loco. Cool Story Bro: I hung out and stayed the night with Aaron of 'The National' in his and his brothers house. The same house they filmed the video- Mistaken for Strangers. It was in Brooklyn and it was pretty cool. Aaron was a pretty quiet dude, who knew my sister, thats how I got to hang out with them. He even served us english muffins in the the morning. Believes me or not, I dont care, but I did it. Also hung out with the Ruff Ryders in the same trip but by accident. This was several years ago and was a pretty awesme NYC trip.
