Lol. That is funny. You must be a scrub. I am on a basketball team also, even if I go 2 for 20, just like Harden in OKC game, I am still in the game.

repped. even if the coaching staff is bad, at least Lin is getting experience and developing parts of his game he is not good at.

I was a scub yes. I could rebound the heck out of the ball and defend like a beast though. Basically I was Asik without the blocks lol.

I tried warning you kids about the novelty act that is Reremy. There ain't dim sun in Texas, baby, and it's gonna **** up your palette if you mix kung pao chicken with a Mediterranean platter. Let the real athletes play and let him find his way or ship him out. Sick and TIRED of all the little asian boys makin excuses for him all day. Reremys a big boy, he can figure it out or he can work in accounting. I ain't got the TIME to listen to excuses from you assholes. Everyone's got one, NOW BUCK UP.

Just to clarify the LOF'er statement was not directed at you. That was probably a 2 for 1 post.

When you say "benching him when he's playing well" I really dont buy that's what your point is entirely. I mean, players can't play all 48 minutes. They have to rest at some point. I dont think thats the point you are really making here.

It seems like, you are more concerned with how it affects Jeremy's confidence when he's not relied on in tight games, and somehow that is a statement to Jeremy from the coach that there's something he does, or doesn't do that mean they can't trust him in close game situations. Like they somehow dont think he's a "reliable player" and that can affect him mentally.

I can see how that can affect some players mentally. However, the coach cannot make decisions based on certain players fragile mental state. They have to go with who the players that give them the best ability to win that game. You can debate whether that's Lin or TD. That's not what we are talking about now though.

Its up to Jeremy to continue to work with the coaches in practice, study film, WORK WITH TD at the things he does well, and show the coaches that he can be relied on in close game situations. The proof is there that Lin is a valued part of this team moving forward. He has to realize in his own mind, work on his game to really excell at his strengths, and let the coaches put him in a position that benefits the team.

My point is Lin is in a position now where he actually has a team that wants to make it work long term, when most would be more focused on quick fix, or moved to the bench. You just aren't going to find a more patient long term situation unless you want him to be the best player on a bad team.

Love him or Lust him, Ronny nailed it long before the season started:

Some of us just want what's best for the team, and we got the saddles and horsepower to see it through.

And do what, give me a mean look? Throw a shoe at me?

It ain't racist if it's the truth. If my girlfriend is black and I say she's an African American, I'm not bein racist. Wipe dry those tears Sally Mae, this ain't Kansas. People need to get over the Politically Correct Bull**** and look at the facts. If I say a building is made out of concrete and not wood, I'm not being racist to the wood. I'm callin a spade a spade and that's how real Texans do it.

how many teams use their PG the same way rockets use lin? serious question, i really don't know? it's seems to me that all those other dudes really get the chance to play their position.

so when you say lin would be benched on any other team with a real star, it seems kinda silly to me.

are you're suggesting he can't be a true point guard? from what i've seen last year he played really well with melo, he's a star player isn't he?

I dont know what's more suprising...the fact that you don't realize how racist your remarks were or that you actually believe that it wasn't racist. Baffling.
BTW...I'm 6'4 218...so no I would not give you a mean look or throw a shoe at you...I think you're smart enough to figure that one out....uh..but then again maybe not.

It's not an either/or proposition. Lin probably won't be getting league-leading usage % like he did during Linsanity, but that doesn't mean that he can only be relegated to a subpar spot-up shooter.

Look at the Bucks and the Net's backcourt, they have 2 great guards playing together.
Their PPG is about 17pts, not 20+.

If a guard ppg more than 20+, then another guard must be suffered, like Kobe+Fisher, Wade+Chalmers.

Do you mean with the PG playing off the ball. Its that the case then lots of them. Off the top of my head-

    -Ron Harper & Michael Jordan
    -Steve Blake & Kobe Bryant
-Beno Udrih & Tyreke Evans(rookie year)
    -Jennings & Ellis(currently)
-Kidd & Felton are both off the ball fairly constent with NY

Lots of players listed as the PG play off the ball. I think one matchup to watch will be the Deron Williams/Joe Johnson pairing. If they do well together, maybe there are a few things Harden/Lin can learn from them. Still, they have to rely on their own games at the end of the day. Still totally different types of guards, but at the end of the day, both players maximize their offensive abilities when the offense runs through them.

When I say that Lin would be benched, what I mean was that the coaches would be making a knee jerk reaction already and would have already tried him in different roles with the team to MAXIMIZE his abilities.

Every coach in the NBA now knows what Lin is capable of offensively at times. So instead of trying to make the matchup with Harden work, Im willing to guess that they would have already made some lineup changes to try him in a Jamal Crawford/James Harden(OKC) role.
