been on xfinity for well over a year now - had my contract reset and they are always willing to renogiate to better than market terms.

Their picture quality is better than Uverse
Their software is better than Uverse
Their internet is in a different world than Uverse
Their customer service is exactly the same as Uverse

It's ok for fanboys to be fanboys - but when you take an analytical look without bias, the selection of Xfinity is simple.

And I loved me my Uverse - but no way I could work from home with their internet and I quickly fell out of love with their picture quality after seeing Xfinity.

I have almost always used Comcast for one reason or another. It is great, when it works right. If you have any issues, the customer service is the worst. I was without internet for about 4 months at one point, and that was with me calling every other day.

Where I am at now, it is great. My only complaint is that I signed up for $69.99/month and bought my own modem to avoid the rental fee and my bill still comes out to $130. They called and offered to upgrade my internet speed for free but it is a $5 increase charge each month on my bill and they said they should have told me that.

Also, is that $200 gift card upon signup even real? I have always been promised it but never actually got it.

I'm on TWC in Austin and I am shocked to see the huge discrepancy between the taxes/fees we pay and what people in Houston pay for Xfinity.

If I get something advertised for $69.99/mo I'm expecting after fees to be around $75.00/mo especially w/o a modem. $60 more per month in fees, taxes is insane.
Of course I pay for internet only and don't get TV service, maybe that's where all the insane fees originate from?

Oh. I did forget that I had to upgrade to HD. I assumed that every deal included HD. That was an extra $10 a month. So it starts at $79.99 after that. I have never had to add HD though.

Yeah so there is an HD technology fee (different from the other fee), blast speed increase fee (told it was going to be free), anywhere DVR fee (even though it is just one tv), and a few more.

Comcast had us paying like $260 last month. Lowered it to $129 after I b****ed but damn it still seems high for only 2 TVs. My girlfriend does have all the bells and whistles though.

Just got Comcrap digital preferred and 105 mbps internet yesterday. Feelsgoodman (for now, until I run into an issue and get F'd in the A by Comcrap). It's $105/month.
