Thanks again to those who provided info earlier. Even though it looks legit and is on a legit site, I get worried because all it has is name, unique ID, name of the theater and a time (7/15/2008 at 9:45pm) on the ticket. Just says to make sure to bring a government-issued ID. I just called the Marq*E theater: http://www.fandango.com/edwardshoustonmarqe23andimax_aaojh/theaterpage They say they have a 9:45pm tonight and a 8:30pm showing for Tuesday night. They don't have a record for a 9:45pm that night, but they also weren't 100% sure. I asked if she could check with her manager and the manager suggested calling back tomorrow to see. The movie reps run the screenings so she wasn't even familiar with the ticket/ID thing.
Could it be they haven't really told the employees to say for sure its going down until the actual day it is?
I was just generously offered a ticket by Clutch himself! I'm over the moon. Not only do I get to see the movie I've been waiting for my whole life, but after 11 years reading and/or posting on his site, I get to meet the man himself. Are you going, MadMax? Maybe we'll finally get to meet as well. Who else is going? Let's get a roll call...

I think they are kind of clueless there ... I called back just now to see if I could confirm with a manager and the person who answered said the screening is Tuesday at 9:45pm... so (for now) disregard what I said earlier (they were so adamant before that there wasn't a 9:45 one on Tuesday). They recommended getting their 1.5 hours before the movie. And yes -- will be fun to meet Batman Jones! I'm glad you're going to see it -- wouldn't be fair if Batman didn't get to see Batman. Jeff will be there also.
Yeah I called earlier and got a clueless-sounding girl. She also told me the showing was at 8:30...I'm glad you called again, Clutch and they said 9:45. I don't get off work until 8:30. So...crossing my fingers it's 9:45, and if so, I will be there at 9 with my sister.
If a posse member wants to take me, i shall hopefully make it. Let me know whats up. I do work that night.
I'll be there as well- I don't know too many people from the bbs- but I did talk to moes a couple of times. Look out for me I'll be the brown guy with shirt/tie (coming off of work). Can't wait!
