If it's around $1000, those fees will add up. I think Coin Star charges like 9%. On $1000, that right there is $90. You can buy a cool thing or two for $90.
I don't believe they charge you for getting gift cards in return. I hope not anyway... if they do, I'm going to rent a dumptruck and take the coins to the bank.
