I guess Im in the minority here ..... But I couldnt stand Calvin comentating on games. I dont like Clyde either FWIW .... Guess after decades oflistening to Peterson and Foley its hard to measure up. Dont know who I'd like to see take Clyde's spot but its not Calvin .... and I cringe at the thought of Bill Worrell retiring. How sweet it is.
First off, he may be enjoying it, but it doesn't seem like Bill does. It seems the past several weeks Bill has sounded frustrated with Clyde. I can't give you precise examples at the moment (I hear them when watching League Pass), but essentially Bill say something, Clyde will say the opposite, and Bill will point out how he's flat out wrong. Or Bill gets short with him. Anyway, not really the main point. You mention "Clyde is dumb and provides no insight..." I happen to completely agree with you. I recently got some awesome seats (yes, this is a shameless drop of my recent fortune in scoring a ticket on the 3rd row!! :grin, and I to take a pic of Bill and Clyde. When I got down there, Clyde was just staring blankly at a blank computer screen--for almost 5 minutes. Honestly, he looked spaced out and completely disengaged. Sure, nothing has started yet, but this stuck out like a sore thumb with Bill right next to him. Bill was studying stats, pouring over sheets of data to make sure he was prepared for the game.
