I like what I see so far in Barrett and agree with starting Lue and then giving AB 15+ minutes a game. If he keeps this up he may earn the starting position - with some zone adjustments to help him vs taller PG's. But who knows - Boykins seems like he eats SF up every time he plays him....

Sura/AB/Lue seems like a rotation that can work. But then Sura has to actually come back and show he can deliver as well.

Also, at the risk of being repetitious - sit JHow and start giving Spoon some minutes. All of a sudden with AB and Spoon, Padge and Bokie, we are faster, more energetic and rebound better. If we can increase our RB's +1 this automatically cuts our Opponents -1, and our -3 RB deficit is down to -1. Get a smarter PG out there making plays, directing the offense, creating a flow and our TO's go down, reducing that deficit.

We get faster and create more fouls and more FT's, cutting that deficit. We win more games.

But this does move us away from a JVG controlled half-court offense slightly. Can JVG handle it? Could he handle the FUN?

Now of course if CD and JVG can trade JHow and some other role players for a real PF then by all means, pull the trigger! Gotta find another team that desperate or stu....err looking to upgrade.:D

I hope he can handle it becuase it was a lineup like that which brought the Rockets back in the third. We were hustling and running a full court game.

What are you guys thinking? Players can't have fun and play JVG style ball at the same time.. :D

I've also been a AB supporter and i was suprised that we picked him out almost out of nowhere. He's a true PG and exactly what this team needs more of. FREE BARRETT

And also.. people say he's a defensive liability.. speed and quickness can make up for height mismatches. You can't fast break reliably with a lil booger on your a** chasing you down, you can't get free if someone can catch up to you behind picks and cause just enough disturbance forcing a bad pass or missed catch. Barrett, is, the............. X FACTOR

BTW, does anybody know what Ward is paid? I checked hoopshype but his salary is not listed there. Thanks!

I thing i do respect about Ward is the fact he averages only 1.7 TO a game for his career.

Why do people keep on harping about Barrett's lack of size as a liability in defense? So far he's shown strong D. Until or if his size does present itself as an issue then bring it up but for now it's a non-issue.

Barrett has 2 decent games and then only plays 2 minutes? Guys like Padgett/Barrett/Boki (sometimes) just don't get a chance to make an impact.

We talk about how bad our depth is, but we guys like Padgett that can provide a lot of energy off the bench and can shoot, JVG just only plays them once every 5 games.

that's the problem with gundy he sits fringe players out for too long and expects them to be match fit but no matter how hard you train to compensate for no game time you'll still be rusty.

sure the bulls are lacking at the moment but they persisted with pike even though he carried over his form from houston and he eventually delivered and is now starting.

Exactly, its hard for players to play consistency if they get to play once every 5-6 games.

And when they do play a bad game, JVG sits them for the next 5.

Just barely, he got lit up by Miller for 2 baskets and had one turnover.

He was pushing the ball, but the rest of the team was not going with him.

Sura and Barrett would be a great 1-2 punch at the PG position.
