if we can pick up any half-way decent big for defense, i'll feel a whole lot better about the rockets chances. that's all we need, a chance. having another big body gives us that. justin williams, francisco elson, just get someone so we aren't looking at potential matchups like chuck hayes or carl landry on the shaqs and the duncans.

Not that he was the band-aid, but cross off PJ Brown. He just signed with the Celtics.

my first choice would be for Hakeem to help us out for 10 mins a game. That of course may be impossible.
My second choice is youthful D Leaguer Chris Alexander, who might even develop into the mutombo replacement next season. :p

Ask Hakeem back? Based on what? The guy hasn't played in YEARS. The insanity of this board during troubled times never ceases to amaze me.

Looking at Chris Alexander's stats for this season in the dleague, he looks like a good option. Has Alexander ever played in the nba?

    The order should be:

    PJ Brown
    Alexander or Williams

PJ Brown signed with the Celtics today.

Also, Nick Fazekas got picked up by the Clippers.

Looking at Alexander's last 3 games, he should definitely be considered.
    11 points, 10 boards (5 offensive), 2 blocks
    18 points, 16 boards (9 offensive), 1 block
    18 points, 11 boards (8 offensive)

    His pros:
    Great size at 7'1
seems to be a good shot blocker at 2 blocks per game
decent FG% for a big man at 51%
good on the glass with 10 boards a game
can score with an average of 11 points per game

    Cons:
    foul trouble
    assists numbers are non existent
turnovers are a bit much considering he doesn't produce assists

This is just based solely off of stats. This guy may be slow or something. but the numbers say he cleans up on the offensive glass and goes up strong. He might be a bit too aggressive on defense considering the amount of blocks and fouls he gets.

Can't forget this is still the NBDL. Great numbers, but I'm not sure he wouldn't slow us down. Remember he hasn't played in the NBA for 2 years. Transition period during a playoff run? Intensity isn't quite the playoffs, but its not exactly a good time to get NBA game back. Plus I don't think we'd want to get a guy suspended for drugs. I'm cool with it, he made a mistake, paid his dues, and deserves another chance. Too many people out there that would protest.

I see. I don't know anything about the guy outside of his NBDL stats. And I agree, you can probably cut those numbers in half in order to convert them to the NBA standards.

PJ Brown is gone. I guess Justin Williams should come in. Can anyone get a report on him from a Kings fan perspective?

I am all for adding Chris "Rock" Alexander.

Guy is supposed to be very athletic and quick for his size. Rebounds, running and D are his thing. More athleticism is not bad at the 5 spot. And he can't be any worse offensively than Deke.

PJ Browns off the market and MY FIRST POST :D

Also, Ive heard about Justin Williams as being that young PF but I dont think Rockets should look for an inexperienced young player but rather a experienced vet to help backup or play with Scola and Landry and Mutombo

If Rox prefer a veteran, Dale Davis is a good choice.

If Rox want a big, tough center, Chris Alexander definitely should be considered.
