Wrong. It would still be Mario Williams' fault. ;)

My bad, super-sensitive rabbit ears here because of the pain and frustration you referenced above.

I was a wee lad during the Run & Shoot era, and don't remember that quote, but I do remember the hype around Buddy Ryan and Wilber Marshall. Still mad a Keith Cash for throwing that ball at the Ryan poster in the Oilers-Chiefs playoff game.

There are going to be some good coaches available to fill the DC spot once Frank Bush takes the fall.

    Marvin Lewis
    Mike Zimmer
    John Fox
    Mike Singletary

Getting Champ Baily or even Jonathan Joseph would be great as the need vet help in the secondary. Getting a vet FS would be nice too.

The Texans need to get to a point to where they are drafting for depth, not fishing for potential starting rookies. Figure at the offensive side of the ball they are pretty set in about 7 of 11 positions. They could stand search for upgrades at C, RG, WR2 and TE. On the defensive side of the ball, they are probably only set at 3 or 4 positions. Cush at SAM, Ryans (if healthy) at MIKE, Mario (if healthy) at RE, and maybe Pollard at SS.

I think they can really turn this ship around in the off season by throwing money at a Champ or Jon Joseph and then doing something they've never done before and trading up to either get a higher 1st or a second 1st and picking some sharptoothed guys like Von Miller and/or Clayborn.

and I hate to say it, but keeping Kub will probably increase the odds of netting Champ

Most important people to an NFL franchise:

    1. Head Coach
    2. Quarterback
    .
    .
    .
    .
    ..
    ...
    3. Defensive Captain (usu MLB)

Until we resolve #1, the rest is meaningless. The team plays with the personality of its coach, and right now our coach has settled in nicely as a loveable loser.

Totally abstract, but do you recall this song? I grew up on it and loved it. Still do.

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EO-7gehGYII?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EO-7gehGYII?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Much like a child, I still only recall 2:40 etc. but there is no doubt I love this. Honestly this needs to be a Christmas ritual.

I wouldn't ask if I didn't think your judgement might be different.

Fatty asked me to pass this to you during class. Don't let anyone else see.
