    ^^^

The above I saw that Steve Francis (formerly known as Stevie Franchise) made a shoutout to D-12 (Dwight Howard).

Something then came to mind... Would the Rockets possibly want him back and if so, could Steve Francis possibly play as a backup point guard for the Rockets (to backup Goran Dragic) for the league minimum? (Kinda like a blueprint of what the Miami Heat did when they won the championship, when they put their team together, outside of the Big 3?)

I mean, worst-case scenario, it doesn't work, Francis goes back into hiding and we just lose the minimum salary.

If not Steve Francis, or besides Steve Francis, who would you like to see play here (that is not playing right now) for the league minimum? Or even if they are playing right now as a role player for their respective team, who you'd like to see sign here for minimum or close to the league minimum?

We already did the Steve Francis backup thing. It didn't work then, it won't work now.

Steve can always just be on the team to teach Dwight about the city of Houston. And ofcourse, the finer things.

Yea that's probably true... I mean, I know he's way way past his prime but just thought I'd get it out there to see what people thought. I mean, if we go the Miami Heat route (getting the Juwan Howard's, Shane Battier's, etc...) to give the Rockets needed depth if we obtain these numerous picks for a Dwight Howard/Josh Smith or possibly both.

I am kinda not. Like I stated earlier, I am just thinking of ideas of how we could increase the depth of this team if it is kinda gutted out, if we do acquire D.Howard/J.Smith.

Much respect to Steve though for vouching for Houston even though it didn't work out here (twice).

Francis hasn't played in years and has no chance of getting into shape enough to even play preseason basketball.

Yea its kind of a shame... Oh well.

So yea, scratch off Steve Francis... Who would you like to see the Rockets acquire (via signing with the league minimum?)

I thought that the most preposterous idea was drummond over howard....i think this even trumps that. Steve Francis as our backup PG? What is next....bring matt Maloney out of retirement because we need a spot up shooter?
