This is why I love Garnett's heart and non stop motor, but he'll always be the best Second Banana in the history of the NBA. The year they had Cassell and Spree, the Wolves should have been Finals bound. I, mean, c'mon...you got the MVP on your team. But nope, their success was mostly due to Cassell being a badass and Spree playing on ridiculous levels.

I will never stop remembering that playoff game where the Wolves had needed a game winner and Garnett had the ball for the game winning shot, only to pass it off to Troy Hudson. TROY HUDSON! Granted, Hudson sank that shot and won the game for them but c'mon Kevin...grow a pair.

And I'm not undervaluing Garnett or McGrady because they haven't won a ring. Plenty of great players never won one. I'm deflating Garnett's value is because he doesn't bring IT when the game is on the line. At least McGrady does. Garnett will be that great complimentary player with sexy stats but can never get you over the hump because, as much as he barks, he has no bite. To get maximum value out of KG, you need to pair him with a killer like Kobe.

That was a great senario. I doubt the game would have been that close though. You could have added in Timmy's not so high percentage (but i shoot enough that it looks that way) patented bank shot off the glass from 15 feet out. You could have said Kobe intentionally only took a couple shots after the first half of the game was over to prove Duncan needed him. I'm sure Kobe would have ripped Tmac a few times too. :)

You're right. He's not really the guy to dominate a game and win it for you, he is more of a great complimentary player (i still think he could have won championships with the spurs).

I think he's one of those guys who can play till he's 40 or more because he just does so much on the court. When all these current stars are old and retired, i think we'll still be talking about KG's heart while he wrestles with Landry for an offensive board as a role player for the Heat backing up Beasley (kinda like 'Zo).

I'd have to side with the nay vote.

Reason: I think Sam's assist totals for his career are still in the single digits. Once the ball gets into his hands, it's bombs away. We already have a black hole in Steve Francis.

I'd be interested in Gilbert Arenas though.

maybe he should have had a little faith in the Rockets first and signed with us instead of going to Boston.

Last season, i worked out a trade with The Clippers on real gm or espn or one of those.

It was Francis and Landry for Cassell.

Next season, I don't think I would do it.

its not over yet for Sam. There's still a chance Doc Rivers will start coaching.

Actually Sam needs to hope that Ainge fires Rivers tonight in order to get some meaningful PT the rest of the way.

SaM said he wanted to finish his career with the Houston Rockets!
He had his chance and now he is ending it with Boston-they deserve one another and we should not consider him. :p
