Kind of funny seeing the narrative difference for us vs the Eagles. When people see Saquon going to us its: That's nice for a young and up coming team! Them: They are desperate. I'm not talking about here just the sense I'm getting in general. Saquon does feel like a desperate move for the Eagles that have lost a lot of talent this offseason already and had a really disappointing year. Not getting Saquon would be bad for us only if we don't end up with a RB at all. If we miss out on Saquon and end up with Jacobs or Henry I doubt it's that big of a deal for us. As for Saquon...always go with your first option. Clearly the team wants him, the QB wants him, the GM wants him...Eagles might just be trying to make a splash to make one. I can guarantee Caserio DGAF about making a splash and wants this done because he legitimately believes it will massively help the offense and team.
If we ended up with Saquon, Jacobs or Henry then that's a win for us. I don't really care what other people say we need. They don't really watch us like we do.
Thinking about that thoughtful interview with Stroud / Coleridge talking about helping to put food on the table for his teammates families. How are you going to do that as a rook, coleridge? Well.. Dalton extension. Nico is going to get extended. Greenard gonna 'secure that bag.' Multiple teams interested in Singletary. Cashman has multiple teams interested. Singletary too. It doesn't happen without his historic debut. And a 3rd round compensatory pick is too little for Greenard signing elsewhere. They should hand out 2nd rounders if he excels. Damn.
