Let's resign Greenard, sign Jones, Xavier McKinney, and Saquon. I'm hoping Saquon doesn't get tag, if so, then look at Swift. If Texans can't get Jones....resign Rankins and look at adding DJ Reader. If Schultz is too much, look at Noah Fant...I think Brevin will take a bigger leap next season.

Draft DL/LB, WR, CB, S, RB

Because of the cap rise, a lot more teams now are willing to tag players. I actually might tag Greenard if a deal can't be done....it'll be cheaper per year to resign him, but I'm willing to take a hit this year for him. Maybe work out a deal before season starts.

I might actually draft a CB first if Texans can't sign one in FA.

Do Barnett/Fant instead of Greenard/Schultz and then ad Al-Shaair and let’s just win a Super Bowl now.

He says Saquon says we're the favorites in obtaining his services. Now will the Texans be interested....

The franchise tag should come with an insurance clause in case of injury. There can be a third party arbiter that lays out what the player would have gotten in guaranteed money and find the difference in that and the amount of guaranteed money they get from being franchised. If they get injured, then the team needs to be on the hook for that amount.

if the cap increases by X%, I assume the market price of a free agent goes up by the same amount

so I don't see how it gives teams more ability to sign players

Over the long term it will average out but because you don't need to renegotiate with all the players you have currently under contract (who are now potentially being under paid) this will give teams a short term bump in cap space. They are therefore theoretically free to overspend on players this offseason that they would not have been able to without the bump in cap space. Not necessarily the best long term strategy but different teams are in different phases so they might have different short/long term goals.

Barkley probably has 3 or 4 prime years left. Don’t waste your time with the Giants.

I'm skeptical any destination preference outweighs the highest contract offer.

Unless the player wants a one year prove-it deal to showcase their talents, for that destination would matter alot.

Don't think that's how it'll play out. This isn't the NBA.
