No, the cost would not be "low as ever" regardless of how bad the team is coached. Plus, the likelihood of Arthur Smith being fired is very high. Kyle Pitts is a keeper on a rookie contract. No way the Falcons trade him.
No. Kyle Pitts remains untradeable. It would take a supremely crazy offer. If he performs poorly next year or isn't more productive, his value would drop; perhaps to the point they might consider trading him.
I agree with you on attracting free agents. Just goes to show you what a stable coach does for you. Same owners that we swore no one would want to play for
Pay Cashman, Nelson, Shultz and Greenard. Sign Mike Evans, Chris Jones and one of either Kendall Fuller or Kenny Moore in FA. Spend next draft stocking the OL/DL
Health is always the most important aspect no doubt. Depth is important as well if we are truly going to go for it all while on CJs rookie contract. If we can upgrade from both Scruggs and Patterson we should if the value is right on draft night. I wouldnt spend any FA money on offensive linemen in order to create some sort of sustainability post CJs 500M type contract.
Free Agent Season is getting an early start. The way the NFL is structured now, some very good players become available because of the cap squeeze. If you've decided to move on, waive them early. If there is non guaranteed money. release them if not claimed.
I would let Schultz walk if his FA money meant getting to sign both Wilkins and Hunter. Then I would sign a vet TE in Fa like Fant/Henry/Irv Smith and draft a guy like Cade Stover/ J.T. Sanders or Jahiem Bell in the 3rd rd.
