You look at how the league is adding more games across more pay platforms that simeltanously make the game more dangerous for players and more expensive for consumers and there will still be a certain number of people who blame players for the money they are making. I think there is a point where the greed hurts the overall health of the sport.
Good fit for them. Creative defense and not afraid to play guys in roles instead of sticking them out there to get burnt.
OLD MAN JERRY IS BACK! And, yes, Buck...he's gonna make an excellent player/coach while providing situational depth. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jerry-hughes-re-signs-with-texans
Can Hughes play inside at all? I don't remember a lot about him since he didn't play much last season, but my recollection was he was pretty big for a DE, so I thought maybe he could slide inside and give us depth there.
He used to have of the best explosive measures for an edge rusher when he came into the NFL. I never though he was a "big guy", but with his savvy they could try him on the interior.
Yeah, I went and looked up his measurements. He's like 6' 2" 255 lbs. I'm not sure why I remembered him being bigger than that. I doubt they move him inside at that size and his age.
Maybe not in terms of NFL skill level, but us old codgers plateau out at barely mobile for quite awhile. (I'm working on 23 years myself)
