Some dude on 610 was going on and on about how he liked Pitre, and that he preferred to have dudes who had good instincts over dudes with physical talent. I was so confused because Jalen Pitre is literally the polar opposite of that....amazing physical talent, but some of the worst on-ball instincts I've seen from a guy who was touted as highly as he was.
Best FA period since 2011. Wish we could have kept Ca$hman. But they were in the mix with everyone they targeted.
I'm not saying we should cut him. But I'm certainly not comfortable going into next season with him and injury-prone Ward being our clear cut starters.
The thing is, his rookie season was overrated as well. He had a lot of tackles, but he had a ton of MISSED tackles as well. His tackling is not good and his coverage is downright bad.
12 months ago everyone around here viewed him as a great young player. Was everyone just blind to his weaknesses?
I know players want to play with CJ but they still want to get paid! Nick has struckout a few times this off season for being hard line. And I think their agents are not explaining to them the advantage of playing in a NONE STATE INCOME TAX STATE vs A STATE W/INCOME TAX or does it matter? Are the agents just trying to get the most money? Is Nick relying on it too much?
The kind of move you make when you think you’ve got (or are about to have) a stud QB on a rookie deal. Caleb Williams throwing to DJ Moore and Keenan Allen
