    The article stated the Texans backed out after agreeing to terms with Danielle Hunter. Maybe they couldn’t afford Armstead after that. It’s possible they can sign him as a free agent with a new contract rather than trading for his current Niners one.

    It's either Armstead or a DT with the 23rd pick.

    Either way DeMeco is going to get someone he likes.

    Correct. The number probably didn’t line up with a straight up trade. So we’re probably in negotiations as we speak. We wouldn’t have traded a DT Willy nilly without having an agreement of some sort with Arik and his agent.
