Then the sample size is always going to be ridiculously small. Criteria: - Super Bowl winner AND - Leading rusher - Ignore full season stats or things like number of carries (2 carries for Harvin vs 15 for Lynch) or Lynch was a top 15 player in the league. What’s the purpose of the exercise? As it’s pointless, unless we win the Super Bowl.
Starters that hit FA this year: Schultz - re-signed Singletary - signed no replacement yet Perryman - no replacement yet Cashman - replaced upgraded Nelson - no replacement yet Greenard - replaced upgraded? Rankin - no replacement yet Fairbairn- re-signed Punter - replaced even signed multiple bench guys Not as bad as everyone is thinking. still a lot of upgrades available via FA or trade and draft picks. 1st round cornerback upgrades Nelson. Henry or Mixon is at worst equal to Singletary Resigning or replacing Rankin is a top priority unless we sign Hunter and slide Autry inside. Replacing Perryman and Safety could be problematic
Texans have given out around $30 million in contracts so far. Even if all of that was year 1 cash they’d still have plenty of space. It’s not all year 2 though in terms of cap charges, it’s probably closer to $22 million in year 1 cap charges so far.
I have no idea why it was posted. I didn't post it. I answered the question of why Harvin was listed.
Lots of impact guys remaining like Hunter, Queen, Ridley, Henry, etc. But do we really think Nick will sign any of them?
Get Hunter and move Autry inside (and rotate outside), sign Clowney, and get Chinn. Sign Henry and draft RB in 4th+ round. Whatever they do, they need to sign another RB...don't want to go into the draft with DP and force to draft a RB early.
I think Ridley and one of Hunter or queen is possible. I think Henry goes to ravens and we’re either trading for a rb or signing Mixon
A few pundits suspect the word around the GM water cooler is that Roquan Smith is the reason Queen looked so good. Some Ravens fans have said as much.
Could very well be a leverage thing. Ravens are the only team to have been confirmed to send him an offer. Maybe he didn't like the $6.5M offered.
