The Mavs seem to have interest in a lot of names as well...are they a dark horse to come out of this as a contender again? They have some key pieces/attractions in place already, with a great coach, Dirk, Monta, and Chandler. If guys like Vince and Pau are willing to come in at a discount and they score one key FA, they could be ready to make another run next year. Maybe Bima can shed some light on their financial situation and their options...

Pretty sure Parsons would go from one of the most beloved players in recent memory to the most hated like it was nothing if he joins the Mavs. I'd still cheer for him if he went anywhere but to the Mavs or Jazz.
The only way we don't match is if he signs (elsewhere) before we sign the other big name FAs. If that is the case, I'm sure we'll hate him regardless of his destination.
See Dallas, maybe if you could actually develop your own young players, you wouldn't have to try and poach ours!!!
They can go ahead and pay him the $14 million a season because that's what it'll take for Morey to even second guess matching.
You don't match Parsons if its anything over $11 million. May be just maybe you match $ 12 million if he goes to a in division rival like the Mavs He will go from becoming one of the most valuable contracts in the league to an overpaid role player.
Keep an eye on Dallas because Dallas is mentioned right behind Houston for every free agent. Off the top of my head, even going back to Marcin Gortat, Kevin Martin and Dwight Howard last year. Chandler Parsons, Jordan Hill, Luol Deng, Paul Pierce, Spencer Hawes, Trevor Ariza, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron, Birdman, this guy, that guy...
