    He cannot change pace like a Chris Paul can....but he is making shots.

    In overall, I think the money is well spent but paying him for 2 seasons is still not lucrative.

    An uptempo PG is going to be the next in line.

    Pushing the pace is pretty integral in modern NBA.

    He does force some bad shots around the rim.

    However that's my only complaint. He plays defense, takes care of the ball, hits shots and usually gets the ball to the right people to make things happen.

    He's overpaid, but the way the NBA cap structure works overpaying him isn't a big deal. He's been a perfect addition for this team.

    Not about to dig up the posts because I'm not THAT petty but man we really had people on here saying that FVV isn't an upgrade over KPJ. What a delightful game. It's been so long since I had this much fun watching the rockets.

    Literally the only two weaknesses that he's shown me so far are his lackluster finishing and his height, which makes some skip passes and reads difficult (he just can't see over the defenders).

    But as a veteran presence, as a defender, as a WINNER?

    He's been everything I've wanted, and on a fairly short contract too

    I was listening to the interview of Sengun after the game tonight and he really credits VanVleet for pushing him, no matter how tired or sore he is. He really credits him for their hustle on defense.

    I watched a couple of the last post game interviews I posted below, and he brought that up in both of them. VanVleet and Brooks have been great mentors to these young guys. Sengun said the team is playing like animals right now. Wild animals. He's so happy about their defense. Gotta love it.
