Should there be any interest in Fred Smoot from the Texans?

Smoot Isn't great but he is a veteran and only 30, maybe if we don't grab a CB in the first, he could be an option.

    Thoughts?

Why not? But I don't see it happening ... neither grabbing a CB in the 1ste round. Outside Haden, there isn't another corner worth it to be a 1ste round pick. Perhaps Kyle Wilson ... but I'm not sure he's worth to be pick nr. 20.

Smoot has fallen off of late. If he comes cheaply, sure as a #3 with hopes that he can regain something.. otherwise, I don't see a reason.

Smoot came into this league acting and talking like he was Deion Sanders. I wouldn't want him.

Was he even starting for Washington anymore? I thought he was demoted to nickel corner.

I don't care if he's rancid butter, cause right now, our bread is pretty bare.

die-hard skins fan. Smoot's coverage skills are piss poor. He is probably one of the most likeable characters in the league and plays with swagger. Perhaps with some coaching, he can regain his form from his rookie year (the last year he was worth a darn). I would take a flyer on him as long as it came cheap.

We should be looking at several people, but we aren't and probably won't. Uncapped year, top revenue team, and I'm getting the sense that McNair's going Drayton on us. Fun tidbit - last year's cheer squad had to use the previous squad's uniforms because McNair didn't want to pay for new ones. I've heard that he was incredibly stingy for all behind-the-scenes operations and people.

All this while riding in the black.
