Francis's intercepted pass is all the proof we need to look for a TRUE PG

I have advocated to keep Cato in the team because of Yao's weaknesses but I would at least try to explore the possibility of getting Eric Snow from the 76'ers for him because he is a steady passer and plays defense and Philly does need a center.

Agree on Mobley, disagree on Francis.

Mobley definitely needs to go. He is a redundant, less-talented version of Francis, which is one ball-dominating guard too many.

I'd love to get a guy like B.Barry or Mike Miller to help run the offense smoothly, nail the kickout three from Yao, and find ways to contribute other than scoring.

But Francis is not the problem. No one complains about him when we kill the best team in the NBA by a dozen, but he is very consistent, rarely having on off-night win or lose.

This team goes as Yao goes. When he plays well, everyone else plays within themselves, and the offense is one of the most entertaining and effective in the league. When he is off, everyone (especially Francis and Mobley) tries to take the burden himself, rather than continuing to help eachother.

I'd make Cato available for Miller and Steven Hunter.
I'd make everyone save Yao and Steve available for Elton the Enforcer.

    Yao
    Brand
    Posey
    Barry
    Francis

    Cato
    Taylor
    Morris
    Rice
    Mooch

    WALTER...

Please read the rest of my long and boring post.

I said as a BACKUP. I mean...GOLLY. He's old, but he must do a better job than MOOCHIE! And Nick Van Exel would be a great backup as well...not too old. He is already friends with all of our little guys and Posey.

    Well anyways....

JASON KIDD WOULD NEVER COME TO HOUSTON, TEXAS.

    I don't think he's leavin New Jersey...

funny, and I was going to post...

    TMo = 2 turnovers, 16 minutes = 2pts
    MoT = 1 turnover, 33 minutes = 30 pts

Trades wouldn't solve our general attitude problem.

Great now Francis is being bashed for trying to get Yao the ball, last week he was being bashed for not getting Yao the ball enough...although i do concede that he should have held on to the ball a little bit longer, but then the basher would say he should have given Yao the ball he was wide open:rolleyes:

Ok...I thought people would be smart enough to know that what I meant is that we move Steve in to his REAL POSITION, as a 2 guard, and we get a true veteran to play the point.

    Cuttino Mobley to LA Clippers

Andre Miller & Eric Piatkowski to Houston

    TRADE ACCEPTED at Real GM

Small backcourt, but Cat is only 1 inch taller than Steve anyway

    Line-Up

    PG: Miller
    SG: Francis
    SF: Posey
    PF: Griffin
    C: Yao

Piatkowski comes off your bench as an offensive swing-man
Morris comes off your bench as a defensive swing-man
Taylor comes off your bench as a offensive big-man
Cato comes off your bench as a defensive big-man

Moochie removed from rotation because Francis can play backup PG while Miller rests, with Posey, Piatkowski, and Morris taking up the slack at SG

Do you really think that our current team don't have enough talent to beat Cavs? What made you so sure that your proposed team would definitely come to play against Cavs on the road?

Has there been a pure point guard on a team that won a championship in the last 10 years?

I don't think a pure point guard is necessary for a team to be succesful, it's all about the blend of players.

    Last season, through 50 games,
    With Francis 17-15
    Without 1-17

Clearly he fits with our team - sorry if we're not the best team in the West, but I'm actually pretty surprised that we're in the playoff hunt with such a young team - we don't really have any veterans who contribute (Mobley is not yet a vet), we've had some injuries, and yet we're still sticking around and knocking off teams like the Kings, Spurs and Lakers.

I don't think an errant pass is any reason to shake up a playoff team....

I never said trade Mobley for Avery or anything dumb like that. Why not just keep it simple and trade Moochie for Avery? Then in the off-season we can go out and try to get a young point-guard or something. Remember, Dallas was going crazy trying to sign Moochie for what I consider too much money but the Rockets had to match it to even have a backup PG. Now they don't have that problem if they trade for another point guard straight up.

It is the kind of ****ed up logic that says when your PG has been consistant with 5, 6, 7 turnovers every game and then costs his team the game because of a terrific pass then you need to look somewhere else for a ball handler. Go back to your cave brother!

I meant right now, not four or so years ago when he refused to play in Canada because of taxes and not wanting to come off the bench. I am talking about him not requesting to be moved to the 2 Guard till now, his natural position by the way. Did I slice it well enough for u partner? And do I know you from somewhere man? You seem to have a lot of hostility and I cannot imagine it is a random thing. Well, as an army person I would tell you to go and apply your anger in something positive. Perhaps you can go and motivate the Rockets Players

You don't need a point guard to win championships, but you need a real and true ballhandler and distributor. Case in point is the Bulls, you had Pippen who was a point forward really and distributed the ball perfectly as well as Harper who was not half-bad a PG, at least he looked to pass and his TO were kept to a minimal. Other than that you had Isiah Thomas, Avery Johnson, Magic Johnson, etc.. And as far as shakin a playoff team, don't quiet call them that yet until they make it, but I think the Rockets won't make it this year. It will be them and T-Wolves fighting for last spot, T-Wolves are not better but way more consistant and capable of keeping a winning streak going for longer than 2-3 games. When it comes to crunch time, I don't think we are mature enough to perform under pressure. But please stop making excuses for this team, they have one of the top 5 lineups in the NBA, where do you think they should be with all these players? I say 5th or 6th seed as of right now. We have too many weapons to be losing to too many bad teams like we have been doing this year. Just look back at the games we lost and tell me which teams we should have beaten easily and what type of record we should be having if we did win those games.
