Can't blame him, he didn't make our 8 man roster anyway. I would expect anyone not on that 8 man team to try and get out.
No surprise there. This was necessary for us to have potential max cap room. Likely back for the vet minimum.
I like Cisco. I will be sad to see him go. He did a great job for us in his first season for us. Unfortunately, he couldn't repeat it this season. I wish him good luck.
Don't blame you Cisco. McHale really didn't give you the time needed. Good luck in the off-season. Hopefully he goes back to the Kings.
This is great news for the Rockets. Grants us some necessary flexibility... it's probably likely that he re-signs for the vet min as one of the last offseason steps.
1,3 million more in cap space to get melo. good news and thank you for all ciscco, he plays witl all his heart for the rockets
was so sure it was going to work out this past year, but Garcia just didn't have it. Hope he plays a few more years in good form. Very little loss to Houston given his play this year.
As Bima told us we can still resign him Francisco Garcia: In a rare scenario under Morey’s tenure as Rockets GM, the Rockets will actually have to wait and see what Garcia does by June 30, as Garcia has a player option for 2014-15 at the veteran’s minimum (for him, just over $1.3 million). If Garcia declines his option, do not be surprised if the Rockets once again re-sign him. The league would pick up the tab on a good chunk of Garcia’s salary on a one-year deal (as opposed to on the second season of the two-year deal he signed in 2013), without reducing Garcia’s paycheck.
Garcia doesn't really lose anything by opting out given its for vet minimum. Just has to make sure he's still good enough to be in the league, which clearly he is.
