[rquoter] Rockets Notes: Head cold keeps Francis out of practice By FRAN BLINEBURY Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle Oct. 18, 2008, 6:51PM click link to read rest of article The latest comeback of Steve Francis was put on another brief hold when he missed practice due to a head cold. The veteran guard had said on Friday that he was “definitely going to practice” and wanted to go through a full workout for the first time since the start of training camp as he recovers from quadriceps surgery on his right knee. Francis phoned in sick on Saturday morning. The Rockets ran through a light workout, because Ron Artest had a sore knee and Yao Ming was slowed by the effects of a cold.[/rquoter]
Should be no big deal. Yao, Francis and others likely suffering the mild effects of the FluMist vaccine from a few days ago.
My cousin hates Luther Head so much that when he read this title he thought it was Luther Head who kept Francis from actually practicing. I didn't know whether to call him a hater or a dumb azz!!!!
The Franchise will be back and will definitely be a big contributor this season. I'll take him over Aaron Brooks and Rafer anyday. He's the best rebounding pg on this team and can create for himself and others better than the other two as well. He's also the best out of the three in attacking the basket. I believe in Steve.
dude his arms are tiny now! he used to be a pretty strong player, i wonder what kind of upper body strength he still has to finish around the basket...
SF has definitely cut back on the weight room. I know Falsone is his trainer, wonder why he is having SF do more upper body work.
Just a typical player who used his athletic ability to do well in the NBA, now that he has lost that he don't have the smarts to reinvent his game. I would say to trade him but who would want him?
He's still gonna spend half the season either with DNP's or on injured reserve. The hype around him here is almost as big as Lebron in 03. Without seeing him play with the team and having barely played the past 2 seasons, can we place him ahead of Brooks(who has been solid this preseason) in the rotation!?
i can't place him above Brooks because Brooks looks like he is getting real comfprtable with everything, but i hope Stevie can come back and contribute in a scoring line up...you don't lose skill just abitlty, he still has all the skills he used to, meaning his handle is still there, and that was one of his major assets besides athletic ability
