It's being reported on multiple news outlets...although I'm sure it's not JUST that. The dude looks like a real debbie-downer lately on the court. Somethings wrong.
Hill wanted him to play the garbage minutes after Hedo fouled out, I remember that, Augman came in instead and Hill went straight to Francis and they started talking to each other. Looked like something was wrong, but it was kind of stupid of Hill to ask him to play garbage minutes after benching him earlier in the 4th for stepping out of bounds. But like I said, Steve doesn't look like he cares anymore, his effort was questionable in that game and several games before. Again, Bullard, someone who actually knows Francis believes that he isn't a bad guy.
I agree, the announcers were talking about it in the Clipps and Sonics game. He looked like he was in another world.
Yeah, I was still switching channels between them, watching Kobe desperately trying to keep his 45+ game streak alive, and the Heat destroying the Warriors, should have been asleep too.
didnt shaq have issues w/ orlando too? i definately think that the franchise/ownership is to blame. if it was 1 or 2 guys who had a problem thats one thing, but this is high profile player #3. to me, they will always be the franchise that allowed shaquille oneil to walk and got absolutely nothing in return. anyone think that steve came to management with a trade demand and the team just decided to sit him till they can trade him, a'la ron-ron?
I really hope it doesn't have anything to do with Jameer's increased playing time, but I bet when francis starts talking that'll be the message.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was part and parcel of the issue. I think Stevie's Orlando career went in the hole, as a result of the front office, when Cat got traded. Not a good situation, Orlando's front office is freaking terrible
i dont know if this is even a possibility, but could he be traded straight up for artest? the pacers want as equal value for artest as possible, and while stevie might not seem like a good fit in indiana, rick carlisle is a really good coach (i think anyway), and i bet he could make it work.
Unless Orlando throws in Dwight Howard, there is no way Indiana trades Artest to another Eastern team.
LOL. That would be pretty amazing if things came around full circle. For all of SF's deficiencies, with a TMac and Yao to dump the ball to, playing point guard is a lot easier.
The guys on 610 said his fire and passion for the game have vanished in Orlando. They said he just doesn't care anymore and needs to be traded ASAP. I bet he'd return to form on a winning team.
