WRONG. The Rockets knew the time they signed on the dotted line exactly what they were getting from Yao. Just like Steve Francis knew (or should know) when he signed on the dotted line what he was getting into. Yao also happens to come prior to the JVG game suspensions. Being the first clause, JVG has to honor Yao's commitments regardless of how he feels about it. A DEAL WAS MADE AND BOTH PARTY HAS TO ACCEPT.
If they choose to do that it's their perogative. There's nothing legally binding that prevents them from doing it. It's stupid to even suggest it's the same as breaking team rules and terms of contract.
