Francis schooled by playground legends

The "street legends" can get off in a street game because very little defense is played. It is the same as watching the NBA all star game. However, today's NBA defenses are so advanced, that a real NBA team playing the team "help" defense they now play would shut down a street legend. Correspondingly, the NBA offenses are much more complicated than the street offenses, to attempt to counteract the tough NBA defense. (Scoring is not down in the NBA nowadays because NBA players can't shoot as well as yesteryear; scoring is down because the defense is so much better. The only defense that was played in the NBA in the 70s was that a little man was mugged if he went to the basket.)

The "street legends" are giving their all when a Francis shows up. It is their "game 7". Francis is not playing any defense at a street ball game, and is not going to the hole with as much reckless abandon, trying not to get hurt and lose his multi-million dollar future payday. Put Francis and the street legend in a playoff game, however, and you will see Francis take it to another level.

    High Five, I believe.

Also, Connie Hawkins would destroy anyone mentioned in this thread, no questions asked.
