I recent that comment about whites. I hate his flopping too...but its smart basketball...and it pisses me off everytime. Dont bring race into this...
He only does this when we lose to the Mavs. There has to be more there. I desperately want to start a rivalry that will be famous for decades with the Mavs. I just hope Steve saves his trash talking for when we beat them. Does Steve ever talk trash when we beat teams? I don't think this is an attitude problem, Steve just hates the Mavs for some reason. Maybe it had to do with that one flap between him and Nelson.
Francis need to be more mature. He was pissed off by Mav fans when he used Nash's jersy to wipe himself.
Don't worry guys, next game against the Mavs, when they're laughing, Steve and Cuttino are gonna run it up their butts.
There is something about using the words Steve, Cuttino, and run it up their butts that just sounds really funny.
keep talkin steve...i hope he talks even more **** about the mavs..they frickin suck and are overrated...their record means nothing..and wait til next weeks game in our house.... and everybody saw his around-the-world move in the first quarter..thats a sign of no respect for dallas...play on stevie
Actually, the Mavs and the Spurs are our friends. We need them to beat up on the rest of the league while sailing through the "Texas Triangle." Overtime games the night before facing the Rockets are preferred.
I was just wondering how Dallas beating up on the Rockets could build on the rivalry between Dallas and San Antonio? As long as this team refuses to play team ball two of of three games, it will not have to worry about the play-offs.
You don't creat rivalry with words (win some and also avoid blowouts). You revenge loses on paper. You don't show you opponent how much you don't like them on paper. After what Stevie said about the zone Defense in our first encounter with the Mavs, one will rationally think that he (and the lead guard or team leader) will do a better job against them the next - since you know they will play Z-defense against you AGAIN. But guess what happened............it really hurts when we lose games like that - it just means that we did not learn from our previous mistakes/experience. Failure is not neccessarily bad so long as you DO NOT lose the lesson. I will take smart/simplified basketball over highlight reels and great 'inflated' individual stats anyday, anytime. I just want to optimistically believe that someday Francis and Mobley will learn how to play smart basketball CONSISTENTLY.
So it's ok for the Rockets to do it but not ok for the Mavs to do it? The Mavs weren't doing anything the Francis didn't do.
memo to Steve: wrong place and time to make the comments, but who cares...you know....some times it is hard to shut up. face it, the mavs are very beatable and have no game within 10 feet and that will hurt in a playoff series. but then again, they punked us, so Steve....hold your comments until we punk them here next week : )
I dream of facing the Mavs in the playoffs. I'd dump a few games to play the Mavs in the playoffs. Yao Ming can steal a game from them on their court. Dallas are lucky that Yao Ming is worn out. They won't be able to run as much in the playoffs, and in a slightly slower game, we demolish them.
The whole thing about Bulletin Board material is bogus. No one gives a crap about what Steve Francis says and it's not like theyre going to beat us anymore than they already have. Who cares.
It's kind of stupid to call out the team with the best record in the NBA as a team that has a lot to work on... But, at least he included the Rockets in his statement.
Steve is a very talented, slightly out of control player. He wears his emotions on his sleave and is a Rocket, not a rocket scientist. WildArkieBoy
I would said every team had something to work on even the Mavericks with best record in the NBA. But the difference is the Rockets had a lot more to work on compare to the Mavericks.
steve did everything for this team, i feel sorry for stevie coz there was just no other shooter on the floor yestarday beside himself
