I'd like to see him shipped back to the country where he was drafted: Canada.
A year or two in Toronto should straighten him out. :)

Well, if the Magic are gonna spiral downwards into oblivion this season, at least they have a bunch of sore losers this time! Just what Weisbrod wanted. At least Tmac didn't do anything crazy to kill his trade value last year. I'll be surprised if Weisbrod can get a new ballboy for Francis.

But if someone Rams your car . . .
basically the way I read it .. .
Steve falls on him . .the guys pushed steve's legs away [his legs. .u know .. his moneymakers. . it would be like plucking Elton John's fingers]
and steve overreacted and kicked him

I would like to see the film though

I don't know why and I may be way, way off here, but my hunch pick to go after Steve this summer is Detroit.

I just think the Pistons are going to be outclassed in grand fashion in the playoffs by the Heat, and they could look to make a splash (albeit a risky one) to try to get back to the top ranks. Weisbrod would go cookoo for cocoa puffs for any of the players on the Pistons roster.

Outside of that, I'd say Denver next. The team with the biggest point guard need in the league might be Utah, but Francis is not their style point (then again, they did sign Jason Terry to a ludicrous offer sheet). Most of their fans want to draft Chris Paul. Portland is running with Telfair and Golden State now has Baron. Toronto maybe ... or hell, Kidd for Francis?

I'm going to reserve judgement. Maybe, as he says, he really didn't kick that reporter, or he thought the reporter was interfering with him. (OK, so I still like Steve a lot.)

Steve must have been mad at all of those pictures of him and Cuttino Mobley.

    can i change my name?

i don't know, he's not really an undersized power forward.

i would be shocked if detroit wanted him. with their defensive style and style of offense, i don't see how he'd fit. though i guess billups has not always been the most under control pg offensively. but i do agree detroit's gonna get smacked down by miami.

Orlando is self-destructing. Looks like they'll get a lottery pick, again.

NO WAY does Detroit take on Francis. I dont see Joe Dumars making that move. I agree that two PRIME candidates would have been Portland and GS but they have PGs now. And the Clippers would be another one and they have Livingston.

To me Denver probably is still in play and I think Toronto might be another option as Clutch mentioned. Would Memphis be interested? They keep looking to add another "star" player and have an abundance of role players available for trades. Probably players Orlando would love to have.

Nevertheless, whoever Francis gets traded for, you can BANK on the fact Wesibrod will get 50 cents on the dollar.

I'll say it again. The Photographer should apologize. The paparazzi are always up in your face and they all know they are partly responsible when they get popped for being in your face. Don't kid yourselves. They know it too. So make of it what you will. But that photographer needs to be a man and take some responsibility for what happened.

Right now, SF isn't worth 50 cents.;)

Sorry, man, you left that wide open. (And I am NOT a SF hater).

Double-edged sword. Without the cameraman to capture Steve Francis in action, he isn't making eight figures a year.

How would that apology go, "I'm sorry this season has become such a trainwreck for you that you decided it would be appropriate to kick me, even though I'm part of the reason you're famous"?

just because the dude is 'in your face' don't mean you can kick the guy. francis is paid to be a basketball player, not to be Blade. Sure he could be a offbase with his incident report IF he DIDN'T get kicked, but judging by francis' startling and convincing defense:

"He threw my legs down, man. That was it," Francis said Friday night. "No. Uh, uh. I don't know what happened."

It's kind of easy to see why we believe he did.

Let's wait on the video. I'll eat my words if it doesn't clearly show SF messed up big time. And I will join everyone in blasting David Stern and the NBA. I don't think they would have suspended him indefinitely unless the video was pretty clear.

The photographer was an NBA employee. That's pretty far removed from paparazzi.

Still, I'd be willing to give Steve the benefit of the doubt if he hadn't already proven himself to be a punk many times over the length of his career.
