Admitted? I don't think he meant it the way you're suggesting. Hilltopper posted the video.

Whether Steve admits it or not, Adelman thinks he's not in the best shape he can be. I don't know why Adelman would not be telling the truth about it.

You may be right, I haven't seen the video. The way the writer put it, it seems like Francis was joking about how out of shape he is.

Sad to see all of these people writing off players on our own team for no good reason.

Steve was rehabbing his knee this summer, just like Bonzi was nursing a groin injury he sustained in that SA series.

Thank God Rick Adelman is the coach here and not the sappy depressed control freak who can't motivate a pig and drinks diet cola like its air.

Ooooo athleticism, the best quality a PG can have, right? I remember a certain PF with world class athleticism, whose addition was suppose to take this team to the next level. Athleticism alone isn't going to get Stevie a spot on the rotation, when he has a BBall IQ like Slowmile. Wanting to play and doing the things necessary to earn playing time are two very different things.

What did stevie say when asked what he was going to do if he was out of the rotation? He responded with a confidence instilling "I don't know. I can't tell you,". He might have not said anything that disruptive, but what he said, or what the didnt say exactly(things like he needs to work hard, get back in game shape, study game tape to find a away to fit into the offense) is the problem. Hes not offering any solutions for himself, he rather just wait and see rather then earn playing time. Thats how I saw that interview.

Seriously, do the only things you guys remember about the Stevie Franchise era was the spectacular stats and sports center highlights, but not the constant losing, turnover after turnover, isolate and dribble dribble dribble, not to mention his immature behavior. Yes it would be nice if Stevie could find a way into the rotation, but in the past years since he was shipped off he has shown NOTHING in the way of changing his ways at all. Remember beware of good stats on ****ty teams.

Francis assumed he would start, and that's why he "doesn't know what to do", but that's what happens when a whole city overrates you. You think you're better than you really are.

if Steve plays like the All Star Rocket Steve, he'll get playing time.

if Steve plays like the scrub who can't beat out Jameer Nelson or Nate Robinson then he's out.

thats a contradiction. all-star steve dominated the ball every second of the shotclock. we don't want nor need him to do that. he was beat out by jameer nelson and nate robinson because he couldnt play with the team.

Steve is already grumbling about a lack of playing time, and the season hasn't even had the first tip-off yet. If I were GM, I'd tell Steve: "lose the Lone Ranger attitude or don't let the door hit you on your way out."

Steve will start mentioning a trade before the 5th game of the season. He will demand one by the 15th game and be gone before the All Star break. That is unless Tmac goes down with an injury.

He will take Mike James' and luther Head's minutes soon enough. Most people can't get over the fact that Rafer "CLANK, BRICK, IMA BANK HOME A 3" Alston has been playing with the starters for the past year and a half. Obviously he's gonna be in a better comfort zone and everything. Just wait till the season progresses. All you Rafer lovers will go back to crying shouts of trade Rafer by next week.

Please quit trying to make something out of nothing. Adelman is no Van Dummy. Jeff Van Dummy is gone (AMEN!) and his stupid player management is gone as well. The only thing left are you pessimistic cronies. This is a new season with optimism and excitement. If you can't be excited about that and prefer to argue about nothing than please go do it on an espn board where Van Dummy is employed.
