I respect Steve and wish him well, but if he thinks that Cuttino and Cato are great players and that J. Howard is a scrub then that is evidence that he is slightly out of line with reality.

you said i needed to be committed....did i misunderstand you?

i never said francis wasn't committed...i never said he didn't play his heart out. i said he didn't learn from mistakes...and that having a PG with such a problem holding on to the ball would mean trouble everytime you hit the playoffs.

Okay, my bad MadMax, I was saying that if being delusional is the first thing you thought of someone, that person would sound like they need to be committed. Then I thought you were turning it around, and saying he needed to be more committed to winning. Sorry.

    Preach on brother.

The thing now is that I dont really worry myself anymore about Stevie. I wish him well. He is old news now. Many NBA players would be old news if they traded for Tracy.

Right now I'd take Francis over Marbury and Iverson even though Iverson was a better player a couple of years ago and Marbury is debatable. I would take him over Brand, because even though Brand puts up good numbers they translate into nothing for his team. Paul Pierce is also very debatable. Their stats are very similar over, Francis is a better playmaker, Pierce a better defensive player.

steve a top 15 player??????????? Are u kidding me? A top 20 maybe. yao is a much better player than him, brand, baron, nash and even bibby. Pau Gasol is a better player than him too. Without taking into considerations the wins just the basketball talent: fundamentals, basketball IQ, shooting, defense, leadership, intangibles, i beliv with the exception of probably baron davis all the players i mentioned were better i repeat better than steve "dribble king" francis.

Steve is delusional if he thinks he is even in the top 25 players.

The guy is one of the most athletically talented men to ever play the game.

However, his overall basketball skills are average at best.

Steve is a wanna be star, never will be great, always will be pretty good.

I am so happy that he is gone....I wish him luck in Orlando.....

So you're telling me you wouldn't take Paul Pierce over Steve Francis without hesitation? For me it is not even debatable. Paul Pierce no doubt. You're entitled to your own opinion though.

ummm...i did watch the playoffs. i watched every minute. and i was inspired by steve's play. but we still had a problem with turnovers...and we still had problems with not having a point guard setting things up and getting smart plays set up for high percentage buckets.

but that's as good as it gets. that's the best basketball i've seen from steve, and we didn't have enough to get past the first round of the NBA playoffs. change was in order.
