    Two magnificent lies:

a fan of an organization that treated quitten like an indentured servant for several years.

Who signed that contract? He did, because against the advice of Reinsdorf and his agent, he wanted longterm security.

Unlike when Quitten wanted to stay a bull and he was traded to the rockets

    No no no.

Pip was a FA. He couldn't be traded anywhere unless he had decided in advance to go.

    So GB...

Why aren't you trolling in the Astros threads anymore?

You seemed to enjoy posting in Astros threads when the Cubs were in 1st, but now that they've fallen behind, you've stopped posting in them.

    Why is that?

    forgot me smilies, gb.

Reference to patterson=Cor(e?)y Patterson. We'll always be better at baseball. :)

Meanwhile, I still hardly call the Rice injury a fake.
    -------------------

Cat, again- you're taking these comments way out of proportion.

I'd like to hear the questions asked to him that received such answers. Reading between the lines, Steve could be saying "Our frontline was thin, and we just lost the main piece of it to an injury that will keep him out for a year, and we don't know how strong he'll be able to come back. I can't win alone. Use the exception to get me some help." type of thing in response to CD's "we don't know if we'd use the exception if we got it" mumbo-jumbo.

You're taking this as if it's sound the alarms, Francis is gone in 2 weeks. He's going to be here for 2 years, unless he forces his way out (and ruins any chance of salvaging the "brat" reputation labeled to him on draft night). We've brought in his people, and kept his guys around. All he said was pretty much, we're getting better, I want to see us get towards the championship level before I comit.

In two seasons, the Cubs will have an unhittable pitching staff. The stuff coming out of the minors...oh my...just wait and see...

Your a Bulls fan right? He was a free agent, but he was signed and traded. He went to the bulls managment and told them he wanted to stay and help them rebuild, also didnt mikey want to stay as long as phils was there? Good thing they didnt sign phil that guy was a lousey coach. any ho the bulls would not resign quitten so they did a sign and trade with the rockets. so yeah technically he did go to the Rockets AFTER the bulls said they did not want him. and what does deciding in advance have to do with quitten wanting to be a Bull. what was he going to do sit out the season because he wanted to be a bull and they would not sign him. LMAO He saw the righting on the wall and probably wanted out after being screwed over for the who knows how many times. Oh crap I have been lured in by the TROLL know as gettinbranded. AHHHHHH he has gotten me off the subject like all TROLLS do.

STEVE is staying put. OHHHH that feels better I am on task again

<b>"don't run off when you start taking a public beating. Thats cowardly."</b>

I'm sure you recall who said that, he's a troll, and an idiot, but his words seem apropos, don't you think ?

    Have fun.

Winning means much more to Francis than it does to most other players. I'm not gonna over react to his comments but they should be taken seriously. If we want Francis to be a long time Rocket, we have to show a commitment to winning. We won 45 games last year but we didn't make the playoffs. This year making the playoffs should be a very important thing to accomplish.

So this means we should make a strong push towards signing Mase and do what it takes to make a winning team.

i am of the belief that this is not to be taken too seriously or lightly....i'll explain.

this sounds to me like the standard posturing prior to contract negociation jibber gabber...i'm sure if Les could get away with paying steve less he would and might try....so steve should look after his own best interst and make sure that Les pony's up when time comes.......with that said...........

our only real threat to Steve leaving is Michael Jordan and the Wiz. with VC all locked up.........Steve is the next big gun on Michael's short list i'm sure and i'm sure Steve will make sure Les knows this to make sure he gives him the Max to stay or S&T. either way Steve will get the Max. but my gut feeling is he will stay with the Rockets........think about it........you have a choice........you can get the Max and be home with grandma or you can get the Max and shack up with Beyonce' ;) you decide

Cat, you're twisting my words. I didn't say that "we should thank Francis if he leaves". Read the post again, and try to understand. Imagine if Francis hadn't brought all this talent to the Rockets, and he left. What state would the Rockets be in then? At least if he does leave, Cuttino, Mo, and Terrence will still remain.

Still, I don't understand how you could react like this a year in advance. GIVE THE GUY A FRICKING YEAR!

Scottie Pippen DID NOT want to stay in Chicago. He told them he was going to Houston one way or another and they signed (so he'd get the maximum he could) and traded him rather than having him sign for less than the max and generate more bad PR for them...
