    Patterson...patterson...I don't get it.

    Wow.

You all keep saying "a high school kid" instead of Tyson Chandler or "the second pick in the draft". I find it interesting that people try to downplay the fact that Elton was traded for the second pick in the draft that way.

In anycase...if you all moved Stevie and acquired Jason Williams or Dujuan Wagner or Lebron James and added two of them to Griff, clutchcity.net would sink under the load of people proclaiming that the title would return to Houston soon.

By the way, give me a break on gettinbranded... he's not a troll. There are much harder Rockets fans to deal with than him.

He likes the Bulls. So? Every team has fans, and believe it or not, some of them believe in what their team is doing, even if we don't. Stevie is not what GB says he is, but he's not the perfect person/player some of you make him out to be either.

If you want to call out trolls, I can give you several to start with before gettinchandlered. :D

I disagree with many people. The people I call trolls are those that post substanceless non-sense deliberatly meant merely to get attention. In the past few months I do not recall you doing anything other than posting said inflammatory comments. Hence, you are a troll.

    You'd lose.

And those comments referring to my "weak mind" were . . .

For such a keen mind, you have a piss-poor short term memory.

Thank you for the kind words sir. I believe you all are going to see a different side of steve francis---and he's going to come out looking like the kind of person I say he is.

He wants to win. He has the same kind of Alpha male personality that MJ had...and the only way he's gonna conquer this league is to get onto a team with another player or two of the same caliber talent he is.

In my opinion...Eddie Griffin has to blow up big time, or he's going to 'Vancouver' you. Plain and simple.

You want to speculate? Fine. Have fun. No one is 100% except for Steve and Cuttino themselves. However, I'm fairly confident that Cuttino would not have resigned if Steve weren't going to be here over the long-haul. I'm also fairly confident that he wouldn't have resigned had Steve not continually discussed the team's great future with him, starting with those two. In short, I can't officially prove anything here enough to satisfy you, but you're making a very weak argument. Since I can't officially prove everything, essentially you're saying that there is a small possibility that things could be different. I agree. However, you haven't provided any evidence as to why that possibility should be considered with much validity.

Also, I can't prove this either DV, but think about all the big name free agents who have left in recent years. Shaquille O'Neal, Penny Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning, Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, etc... with all of their collective talent, don't you think that at least one of them could've gotten a great young talent to join them long-term, had they sold him on their future together?

I almost stooped to your level when I read that...

You havn't been reading. Take a look at my response to Cats latest post...is that "substanceless non-sense " ??

No...but your baseless claim that I'm a troll is.

Cat, stop this ridiculous ranting and start simming the rest of my sweep.

This is ridiculous. Even if Francis does leave, you should thank him for getting all that talent on the team.

But he is not going to leave, unless the Rockets have a 30 win season. That is pretty unlikely. This is just "press-talk", nothing more. You make too much out of things. This has been blown WAY out of proportion.

A troll is someone who comes to a board and posts drivel that is not related to the subject at hand. They usually try and flame then get into a pissing match with another person. when that does not go well they try to make the other person look bad by pointing out a minor flaw in their post. usually grammar or spelling.(those seem to be the favorites) how do you rate on the troll scale "gettinbranded by the clippers"

Now my take on this is that steve is being cautious about this whole situation. The NBA is a buisness and he is trying to play his cards right. Mabey he has not relized that he will be given the max. He does not even need an agent so he has nothing to worry aobut. the rockets are a class orginization and he is a class guy who is just playing his cards right.

If I recall MJ shopped around a bit before he signed with the bulls once, but everyone knew where he would sign.

Oh Puleeese. He wants to win...plain and simple. That much comes out shining clear in his quotes.

Is this the same class organization that hog tied a trade for more goodies over a faux injury? Just checking...

In a thread, that has more posts than you can say "Jack Robinson", this year's Most Improved and Most Controversial (according to me) Poster is a voice of reason!! Hey, wouldn't it been cool if The Voice of Reason had posted on this thread and said what ZRB said!! BTW - That reminds me...I need to ask this question to "ZRB":
Who are you, and what have you done with the real ZRB??

This is ridiculous. Even if Francis does leave, you should thank him for getting all that talent on the team.

We should thank him for all but lying to Cuttino Mobley and making him play the prime of his career for below fair value? All on the condition of this great future involving him and Steve Francis? That would be stabbing someone in the back, and being extremely disloyal... I don't thank people who do that type of thing to players on my team.

gb, you're a Bulls fan on a Rockets' fan site. Your entire intent is to remind us that the Bulls aren't as bad as we think, and that the Rockets aren't as good as we think. You constantly post jibberish about the rise of the Bulls, etc.

That'd be all fine and dandy... on some other site... perhaps on a Bulls site maybe??? Hmmm...

In this post, you've revelled in the fact that Steve might hurt the Rockets. Since you aren't a Rockets fan, and I can see your canines coming out in your posts... excuse me while I agree that your acts are the definition of being a troll. What you're doing is tantamount to me finding a Bulls' fan site and posting: "This just in: you guys still suck", or "This just in: Curry and Krause are still fat ****s".

You're a troll. Don't pretend that you're anything other than a troll. If you're a well behaved troll, you get to stay... but you're still a troll.

This is what I was referring too, senseless and inflammatory.

    Yep

My claim is unfortunately supported by your recent history here.

I am through with this thread.

Cat - you're overreacting. There is nothing to be concerned about.

    Gettinhoiberged - you're a troll.

ZRB said if Francis left, we should thank him... I only wrote that post under the "What if" condition that he did leave. I don't think he will leave-- but I'm just saying what I'd think of him if he did, since ZRB brought the scenario up. I'm just going along with his scenario-- that isn't at all what I think will happen.

Well...thats what debate is all about, isn't it?

    Got proof?

This blows your little theory out of the water:

    See my 5:43 post

I don't like Stevie, I respect his game, but I don't like him. I've said that several times and I've also said that he's going to end up showing you all his badside. This is just the beginning and of course, it's just my opinion too. I'm entitled to it and I will post it. Ignore me if you will, but I won't accept your labels and I won't go away...

I am not here to troll and only MORONS see anything in my posts that say that I am.

And so there...yes...I've stooped to namecalling. Big deal.

Where in my post did it say that steve didnt want to win???? when you find it give me a call at 1 800 its notthere.

Hog tied a trade? thats pretty powerfull words from a fan of an organization that treated quitten like an indentured servant for several years. So as you can see no orginzation is without some fault. the rockets thought an injury was healed they found it was not so they asked for more. If you hog tie someone they cant get out they are backed into a corner, wich neither the knicks or the Mavs were. they could have backed out at any time . HOuston did not have a gun to their head demanding retrobution for misinformation. they jsut wanted compensation. Compensation that was not required but asked for. the rockets asked and the knicks and Mavs agreed. So it was a two way street. Unlike when Quitten wanted to stay a bull and he was traded to the rockets, more or less against his wishes. . .

but keep bringing up other things not related to the subject TROLL
