Come on Mac . .er. . Max
    Francis has alot of faults
hell . . folx catalog each and every one
and then look for more and invent more

Someone has to be the counterbalance. . .
    that someone is me. . . .
Why should i pile on . . .when there are plenty of folx for that already

    as for T-Mac
I just wish he played with more zest . .zeal .. . FIRE!
In Fact . . . doesn't seem to be enough of that on this team
Exciting basketball and 'Smart' basketball are not mutually exclusive

We can Argue Smart = TMAC and FUN = Steve
    but
at this point neither has produced a second round in the playoffs
and that is the simple facts of it all

Yes, I remember. But the "hatred" was mostly around his game. (There were a few exceptions, of course.) The critics were saying that he's just not good enough to be our franchise player.

With T-Mac, it was about his character. And the name calling, ridicule, and yes the brutality, to use your word, on Steve was no where near the magnitude of what is being thrown at TMac.

The Crack pipe picture still pops up on here
It was pretty personal stuff there too.

    TRUCE!

I will back off Mack for a while. . . at least two weeks *grin*
at the beginning of the season
    I said i don't give a d*mn about the regular season
    so . . . I will leave it be
    Second Round or Bust!

I doubt he wants to come back here after we traded him twice.

Agree with all of that. Its almost like he's setting up for a Remember the USS Francis battleship memorial more than he actually is for playing.

Francis gets talked about cuz he'd still be the winner of "Rockets Player You'd Choose to Have a Beer With" if he plays or not. To his credit he's managed to connect with fans like that

*the previous post would have been a fitting end to the thread, sorry*

since 95 this team has turned into playgound BS basketball and thats why this team and this league has suffered.

Every one wants to turn Yao into a fonde player and as their heroes bodies give out they want to cry washed up and b**** about people bad shooting.

SF3 is another example of how far 1 on 1 basketball can get you in this league...... what did have 4 good years....... who cares if he ever does any thing ever again.

Steve is the silent architect of the Rockets...he drafted Yao, got traded for Tmac, made room for Deke...if he comes back while keeping the Rox under the salary cap that would be something...I don't know how much game he has left thought...

You do realize he signed that huge deal when he was with the Rockets after averaging 22ppg 7rpg 7apg, and didn't have knee problems. The Blazers traded for him, but were planning on waiving him the whole time. He certainly didn't fool a lot of people out of money, and he would have went to Miami instead of coming back to Houston if he was all about the money.

Best wishes to Steve. I wish him the best if this is the end.

It must really sting to have the team that you poured your heart out to stab you in the back every chance they get, all the while coddling and protecting a chump who has never shown them any sort of commitment or responsibility.
