You all should really not worry about Francis's turnover numbers. You have to remember a couple of things. 1.)OF COURSE, HE IS A ROOKIE 2.)He hasn't played point guard all his life, and had to learn on the fly. 3.)The offense has changed drastically from what it was supposed to be. And offensive strategy is the main thing a point guard has to learn. 4.)There have been a lot of lineup changes over the year. That really upsets team chemistry and all that. SO, I'd much rather see Francis play the PG. But all you people who want Francis as a Sg, you all have already got your wish. There's times when both MOochie and Francis are in the game together. So, even though Francis doesn't always play SG, he still does play a portion of the game as SG. And Francis is also one of the most unselfish people I have ever seen. Remember, he took himself out of the game when he was 1 rebound short of a triple double! And he has said many times that he likes to pass the ball. I don't really see an Iverson in him. DON'T WORRY. He IS OUR CURRENT AND FUTURE POINT GUARD. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
Nolen... good ideas. No, I really haven't thought about breaking it down into quarter strategies. But, I could explain it that way as you suggest. The plays above do definitely have different actors in each scene. About Moochie, Moochie runs most of the Francis Wing Attack plays (except for the DrOfBrokenAnkles one). Seeing him execute the dribble into the lane option is a good indication of what Rudy has installed here. Francis is not really allowed to do that anymore, because the defenses don't let him very much. So, yes, watching Moochie's run the plays helps you see it better. One thing you ask, that I'm probably not going to do, is invent plays. Right now, I'm just drawing what I have witnessed. The idea is to Flash document what we've seen, so to help people talk about them or suggest their own plays using description of Rudy's current playbook to help. How you can help with the RealPlayer? Do you have an Avid editing suite you can spare? Seriously, if you see a clip somewhere with a rocket's play other than a Francis ESPN dunk, send me the URL and I'll see if it fits the plays above. Oh...I also want to add that Drew runs the wing attack as well as Moochie. Even when disregarding the high % of Two Shakes called when Francis is sitting, the bench is still running the wing attack. Drew certainly did run it very successfully when he was a starter for a week. That is another sign that there is a new Rudy system. And again, you noticed the Moochie/Drew run offense looks a little different, but really it is a function of what the defenses give them. Since Moochie/Drew get into the middle of the FT line (Cassell's favorite spot) is another sign defenses just don't let Francis run the wing attack towards the FT line, where he is most dangerous at getting others involved. Heypartner, My Buddy is in the Air Force and is fluent in the Avid editing system. Maybe he can help if you tell me what you need. We're pretty tight and even if he can't help you get what you need, maybe he could do the work for you. He's into the Avid stuff as a hobby, and I bet he'd do it for free.
wow...why didn't you tell me this sooner. I would have got cable, the league pass and taped every game. I was somewhat kidding. Avid is overkill. Out the games I still have on tape, the plays would have to be captured. Once on my harddrive, I'm OK from there. I wouldn't really need an Avid. Anyone know a decent video capture card. Surely Crisco you have experience from doing the original Pam video capture.
HeyPartner, Go get Brother Fax Machine/printer/copier; it's got video capture on it and I think it's less demanding on your computer than having to install a card. Unless you're running SCSI or have .00000000009 nanosecond RAM you're computer will move like the little engine that couldn't. What kind of system would you need to run Avid at peak performance?
Avid is a system. Proprietary computer with software. Well, maybe they have a hobbiest version now. But it used to be between $20k and $120K. Capture cards really should have the performance chip on the card, no? Last I checked a tracking, two field capture cost $5K. But I know there are hobby cards under $1K
