Let's be truthful , Brand does deserve some credit ! so does Francis, both of them have had the team thrown into their shoulders and they have both responded , one (Francis) has better players around him (hence a better record) then the other one , one is learning on the fly (Francis) wile the other one is doing something that he has done before or at least simular to what he's done before.... one of them doesn't have as much or very little experience at the position he's playing in the NBA (francis) so he is showing how good he really is , and that is where he has a great advantace if they take that into consideration.

    3pointer,

Please don't use the word "Brand" in your quote. It's starting to make me sick.(sic)

I want Franchise to be the clear winner, and think he should be the lone winner, but it looks like it will probably be a co-rookie of the year award with francis and brand.

I'd be happy if both players won it as Co-rookies. Both are deserving players even though im leaning on francis to win it outright hopefully. What i dont understand is what are the chances of them both winning it? i mean what is the probability that Kidd and Hill got the same number of votes? Is he same system used for MVP such as 3 votes per city or so and some beat writers and analysts?

reason why im asking is im a little skeptical if the league "riggs" these things. I havent seen the NBA lottery in about 2 or 3 years live but why behind closed doors. The chances are slim but just wondering if the "NBA league" had any impact between Hill and Kidd ROY race.

Okay I can't name any names, but what I heard was the votes will and some are just about even! True Steve is a fan favorite but Brand is consistent! And that's why it will be a co-rookie of the year because they like both!!!

The NBA lottery is NOT behind closed doors. Both the ping pong ball grab-a-thon and the lottery itself are on cable, usually TNT.

steve francis -- actually the lottery is behind closed doors.... they do the drawing before a legal witness or two (if I remember correctly), then place the team cards in envelopes to be revealed on cable...

So you're partially correct -- it's on TV... but you don't actually see the live drawings.

I mean what would the NBA do if Vancouver got the top pick? They'd have to re-draw, and can't do that in front of a live audience [IMG]

Actually, I do remember David Stern or somebody reaching into a tank of lottery balls to grab the winners in past years.

Yeah maybe Rudy and David Stern have something going on that will give the rockets a good pick.
