trade francis for Manu sure great trade, i feel this trade will help both the rockets and spurs. the spurs will be champion this year and the rockets get to go to another lotery and we can show the world we can do good drafts please franics for Manu. while you are at it, why don't we trade francis for anthony carter? or maybe fisher he knows how to play with a good center. And dadakota i know we haven't always agreed on this board. especially about francis. you were the first senoir member i complaind about because back then i got the feeling you weren't a rocket fan. since then i came to the conclusion that you are a rocket fan. But you really dislike francis. and i'm a bit dissapointed that you would like this trade. i didn't know you disliked francis this much
Hey, can't you see I was trying to help you? You had become the target of someone called "Running With Scissors" & I have a feeling you don't know who he is & what that title means on this board. Let's meet somewhere outside & I'll teach you everything you need to know about this board & how to protect yourself . OK, back to the topic... Francis for Ginobli? Again... NO.
I would consider trading Steve for the right deal but Manu damn sure is not that deal. Manu is a good but not great player. He is also way overratted. If I am trading Steve I need something a lot more significant back in return.
By the way...I am NOT saying Manu is better than Steve...I am CONSIDERING that the Rockets would be BETTER as a team with Manu here and Steve elsewhere. I don't hate Steve, I just see his deficiencies, and how it hurts the overall team play of the Rockets. The Rockets are making a transition to a more team oriented style of play...and Steve does not fit....Manu does. Does that mean I make the deal? Not sure, but I would seriously think about it. Manu is a good passer, and cuts well off the ball, all important things in a team oriented game.....that suits our best player Yao. DD
I would want several other players in the deal, like "Turk," but I would do it for the right package. But why would SA do it, they have Parker?
I am for trading Steve but maybe not even for both Manu and Parker. The Spurs have the most overrated backcourt in the league--if Francis and Cat were on that team instead of the Spurs to do you really think the Spurs would have a losing record??? Here are some more tidbits. Announcers and media people are fawning all over Manu--do they not realize he is a long time seasonsed professional and international basketball player who is OLDER than Kobe Bryant. Manu is a good player, yes, superstar or even star--no. He will never be in the category of Steve Francis, let alone Kobe Bryant, he is around Mobley's level--maybe slightly higher ceiling though Mobley is the better shooter. Now Parker is younger and could get better, but he really isn't much of a playmaker (4.4 assists?), doesn't play good defense, and doesn't shoot that well considering the looks he gets that TD creates. Manu is shooting even worse. Right now this is an average backcourt at best, with he potential to be good to very good, but not at the level of the Lakers, Rockets, Mavs, etc.
Dude, are you on crack? Maybe SF for Duncan... I know Franchise isn't off to his best start but again, its a new system and new coach... Franchise and Yao are untouchable...
Ginobili? Are you guys serious. He wouldn't get 8th man minutes for us. JJ is better and so is Pike. Pa-leeeeez.....
