Ming actually did good job on Sabonis and against Phoenix, Stoudemire was a non factor when guarded by Yao Ming. Last night he held Samaki and Medvidenko to 5 of 12. Not quite sure where you got your made up stats from.

This has been brought up in other threads and what I believe most came from what aelliot said. Steve is a totally different and unique Point Guard. He is a great scorer but his court vision/passing skills aren't as good as a natural point guards are. While he takes roughly 20 shots per game and making his 28+ points, he is TRYING to play the roll of the point guard and get everyone involved. But I would much rather him concerntrate on playing his own game. Moving Steve to the 2 guard will not solve this situation however, IMO. Each team must be looked at individually because everyone is coached different and has different players/styles/ages. Just because Sac Town is a sucessful team by passing, it doesn't necessarily mean Houston has to be like them. You just gotta do what it takes to win, when you start losing, then change.

BTW, where did you get the impression that Yao won't be able to shot 54%, or even higher with more shooting? NBA has always been a big man's game. The shooting percentage leaders are almost always inside players. Yao has as good a shooting touch as any of the big men in the league. The only problem is that the Rockets is a guard centered team, it's too fast for him. Put him in a half court style team like the Jazz, he'll easily score 20+ with 55%+. I don't think he'll be good enough to get 10+ board due to his lack of speed though.

People come here to talk about bball. You can agree/disagree with others, but don't bring any personal attack garbage here.

daoshi, you don't know what you are talking about! you are seriously stupid! you are also only a junior member! and you don't love steve! steve rules! he is so awesome! i love steve! i love him with all my heart! rockets would suck without him! if you give yao the ball a little more, that takes away shots from steve! if you take away a few shots from steve, you must want yao to be the goto guy! you must want steve to fail! i want to watch steve shoot and dribble as much as possible! i just love to watch him shoot and dribble! why do you hate steve! it's because you are the craziest person on the planet!

I'll let you off this time, but just want to remind you how stupid you look like now that Yao lead the league with more shots. He not only sustained the 54+%, but broke Wilt records for the highest shooting percentage over a six game stretch.

Man Ming has one 30 point nite and people act like he just gonna make 30 a game the man got tired against Dallas,he aint gonna be taking over right away its gonna take a lil while,he scored 4 points against the Clippers man I don't care if they wasn't setting him up he should be able to score more then that,it just goes to show against a solid center he has a hard time.
I think yall need to let Yao prove himself before yall start talkin bout making him the go to guy. This is a team game and Yao can't win without his teamates he will need his teamates when he faces people like Shaq,Mutumbo,Olawakande and some of these others centers. Damn yall need to let the man prove himself first one 30 point game don't mean nothin unless you can bring it every nite. We will see and I know he will help us score but how much is yet to be seen.
